In reading comes understanding. Understanding what's behind the line, the thought, the context, the motive. And what it means as is.

Vick is always up for a mission. She was only recently officiated officer but due to being enthusiastic in accepting missions, it seems she was officiated for less than three years. All she does is pick and pick anything available to handle. She never back down from any cases unafraid of criticism. Vick believes she can improve through them.

Her colleagues thinks she's a hardworker, but Vick think all of them are. She just belong to the few group of people who are not afraid to take risks, and are a bit careless. She just don't care much about opinion at this point, doesn't even have thoughts about it. She was afflicted much of those before. If there was an award for those who picked many cases that year, even on her first year, she's going to ace it.

During their lunches, during which Vick and ten other officers would joke about her getting promoted in no time because of her passionate working and she would laugh it out for all of them are on the same page with that. Who doesn't want advancement? They would laugh it all along with Mijj Jimm's reverberating odd and funny laugh.

They had their individual silent conclusion that maybe this is her passion followed by their individual introspection that there's likely a reason behind it.

That morning she drove leading to the headquarter—Tree. The six-hour sleep was caused by an acceptable truth of a tiring plane-ride (though it only takes few minutes) and excess exhaustion from the abroad business she attended. She's particular of not oversleeping. Three or even one should be enough for a sleep. Lethal principle.

The way to the HQ is not hidden for the public. But the HQ is in guise of a big neuro-research facility. It is a real cognitive neuroscience research facility that does researches for its purpose and is under the association, but it is used to hide the Tree HQ. Not that they are open for public and it's not easy for just anyone to enter out of curiosity or wandering. There is technologies and security systems covered for that purpose: to shun outsiders. The government do not have a say in their private rights as long as interference is not needed. So far the government never have many interferences to date.

The sun was beaming with a gentle touch adequate to the age of the day, she's too early for her scheduled return home but that didn't stop her from traveling home. Besides the association has many early risers, more suitably, 'work-eaters' (if that isn't weird in its own), some does not go home for days or months and stayed preferably in the HQ. HQ Tree is a comfortable HQ but not a home. That is according to her.

Many officers lived in a custom subdivision if they wanted to. While Vick on the other hand, doesn't find that idea aggreeable. She's friendly with her colleagues but she doesn't feel comfortable about the whole living in the same subdivision or area. The officers there barely see each other. They have respective schedules.

Vick in her deepest thoughts thinks its like a plant where a company hides people to their use or labor and that's not a pleasant view of things in the association but either way when she's uncomfortable of something she would try to ease her mind and  something about it. There goes her unintended existential crises showing at the crack.

She nodded her head at Marie at the reception hall, Vick didn't wait for a response and continued striding her way inside pass Doorless Doorway to report. Even though its known to the recipient that her mission was a success she also have to personally report to the department's ranker. Sometimes when the Ranker's busy they had to pass it to her assistant, Qethan, and when Qethan's not around too they just have to wait.
