After witnessing her junior throw some good punches, Nolan decided to do some punches too to let her growing irritation out of her system before she completely lose her calm as she still needs to function well for few more hours for today and tonight mostly. T

he Martial department's ranker Clarisse Nolan is an interesting person to officers belonging in Martial Department and gained a reputation of being spiteful from other departments. She leaves such impression. And trainees does view her a bit scary. Although this does not deflect depiction of tardiness.

"Those brats."

Few minutes passed her trainees arrived. They were nervous looking, they probably perceived the situation they're in. Though they were trying hard not to let the nervousness show and practically shoving their deception classes to use at the moment. She asked them calmly. "Why are you all late?"

With few pushes and nudges the guy with distinct brown hair finally answered in a rather much jolly tone in Vick's opinion.

"We're not late Officer!"

In turn they only received a blank expression from her. The grave feeling silently crept in among the trainees. Nolan is well aware of the time. The problem is they are supposed to arrive before her and not her waiting for them. That works as an unspoken agreement to everyone most especially that they are training to become officers for Martial department. They ought to be prompt.

These trainees are not truly irresponsible but they lack discipline. And this association handled officers to improve their individual skills but it does not exclude to teach order and obedience and to cleverly apply it. Officers are still soldiers. They may not be the same as the ones of other organizations and differ from the soldiers of the governments, they are still trained to take orders, to follow guidelines, and implement them well. Nolan knew this aspect is in need to be faced.

"Arkop Field. Fifty laps. Bring water to dehydrate yourselves. Those who will not finish the laps may continue tomorrow in addition of another twenty" she said and the bunch groan inwardly some outwardly before stopping mid-groan.

To become an officer in the Martial department they go through a process of a training phase—far from an easy one. This phase is where trainees question they're decisions and doubts bloom within themselves. The association's  goal is to turn them eager of fulfillment, earnest to their duties, and loyal to the association. They decide to be in Martial department, they're going to work for it first. Physically and psychologically.

Clarrisse Nolan had a belief of eliminating dull opinion toward rigorous trainings. Soon enough their muscles would be building till sufficient for an officer. Those runs will not be as rigorous as they were the first times. Harsh as it was with her seniors before, it was unconsciously instilled to her to know their place. But thinking what's worst or harsher won't do as there are differences of experiences between generations. The association goes to change as well.

They might become officers someday or during New Year New Officers or as they name NYNO; this association does not condone actions from the trainees that shows reluctance of being obedient or prompt.

Again, Nolan notes she needed to deal with this, as individuality is essential for competence and progress it does not include those sort of individuality that shows abundance of arrogance. It is a known fact that there are many of them that are indeed arrogant seeing their capabilities they tend to be so because they have learned and they are capable.

Nolan knows some of their unsaid sentiments and does not fall short to imagine their experiences as she had gone through them as well. All feelings of frustration, exhaustion till they passed out and actually sleeps a wink or more on the way home, doubts, and more. She and all of the officers goes through those feelings and experiences in many ways than one.
