The rain had continued for a week, it felt like forever. But finally, Eddie was let out of the house. He didn't have to go to school cause he had to "settle in" and "unpack" but in reality, he just was an hour late and lost his phone.
He put on a random jumper along with some old black skinny jeans, he didn't really process the clothing as he did up his shoes. He made his way down the steps, eager to finally leave the place. "Bye ma, heading to school."
"Be back by four, love you Eddie bear." She mumbled from her seat. Not even looking away from the old boxy TV.
The walk to school was longer than Eddie expected, way too long. He was late on his first fucking day. Isn't that wonderful?
"You're late," His new teacher hummed, looking up from the roll to the boy. "Oh- you're new," He said in a rather bitter tone.
"Uh...yeah," Eddie said.
"You're lucky it's your first day, or else someone would be in trouble." He sighed, a small roll of the eyes as he wrote some more on the blackboard. "Now, sit down."
He nodded quickly, flopping down in the only available seat. But something hit him, right in the back of his head it hurt like a bitch, or hurt as bad as it could for a piece of paper. He rolled his eyes opening the paper.
"Psst, nice jumper(; where were you?? You left your phone at the house...I have it. - "Ricky"."
Eddie rolled his eyes, a soft smile coming across his face, 'cute...' he thought to himself as a rosy red blush ran across his cheeks. He turned his head to see the scruffy haired boy give him a quick wave.

The day went on like normal, Eddie got his phone back thankfully and he was glad he had at least one friend, so that was good...but he was in like one of Eddie's classes, so everything else was scary as shit.
"So, where were you?" Richie questioned, following the boy around.
"My mum grounded me," He hummed in answer. "She thought the rose was pretty though,"
"Tell her that I have one just for her," He winked, a smirk forming on his lip.
"You're disgusting." He laughed, a small grin appearing on his face, something just made him feel odd when he was around the boy, he didn't know what it was or why but he just got this electric feeling around the boy.
"Oh please, if I was so gross you wouldn't be talking to me," Richie hummed, nudging the boy to get a reaction.
"You're sadly right,"
"So...do you want to hang out?..after school?" He questioned, Eddie turned to the boy to notice the small twinkle of hope in his eyes...and it really made Eddie feel this weird feeling.
"Uh...I can't, my mum would murder me...I wish I could though." Eddie sighed, dropping his head in annoyance. "It was so fun hanging out with you,"
Richie nodded, giving the boy a reassuring smile, which made Eddie want to melt there and then. "It's ok, maybe another time? We'll have so much fun!..just like I had with your mum,"
Eddie rolled his eyes, sighing as the bell went. "I gotta go, class bullshit...talk to you tomorrow?"
And that's how the day went, they didn't talk much cause they didn't see each other, but...it was time to head home, and god Eddie was dreading that.
"You're late," Sonia announced the second Eddie entered the home, creating Eddie to feel tense just by her tone.
"I'm five minutes late...I had to stay in a little bit late to help the teacher," Eddie sighed, walking towards the stairs to get up quickly.
