Seeking An Ally

"Firepower you say?, leave that to us"

Chris, moments after joining SMG4's side, agreed to find some necessary equipment needed "to hunt down Weaboos", and so without any further ado, he and Swag immediately headed off for some firepower.

Chris and Swag then managed to gather a number of former A.S.S personnel, and by convincing some moving companies,  they've gotten back their previous weaponry, various infantry weapons along with their ammunitions, they then seek help from the MKAF (Mushroom Kingdom Armed Forces) to which they agreed, they fielded them with LCVPs for the landing on the island, subsequently, Swag and Chris' former A.S.S personnel was enlisted and are now part of a new battalion.

Not only that, MKAF complemented the battalion with more support for their plan, such as their small but capable air force, and their most modern navy, which consists of a Meringue class escort carrier equivalent, armed with 2 AV-8As and 2 Mil Mi-28N attack helicopters, and 4 of their best ships, the Oliver Perry Hazard class guided missile frigates, although Swag and Chris still need to find a transport of their own for the LCVPs, since the MKAF don't have any with the sufficient space for it, Swag would eventually steal one from a mercenary.

With all set up, they only needed to wait for intel on the location.

Mario, Desti, Luigi, and Tari arrives at the now closed off Inkopolis, trying to look for any indication of the whereabouts of Meggy, they tried to look around but Desti pointed out that the residents were afraid to go out after the abductions, suddenly, Tari spots something in the distance and warns the others, they all collectively looked at the direction and saw a creepy looking anime character.

Mario, perhaps out of impatience, taunted the character by throwing something at it, which ended up only provoking him, they proceeded to fight but it was no use, he was simply too strong, he ended up capturing Desti but fortunately she wouldn't end up with the same fate of those abducted, as they managed to electrocute the character by throwing a disconnected power line, this disintegrated the character which then fades into nothingness, though not all was lost as he dropped a map containing a specific location, they now knew what they were looking for.

Right around the same time as that was happening, a report came through the People's Representative office.

An island located 122 kilometers away called Anime Island, home to several hundred people, were attacked and it's people was forced to abandon their home and their underground processing facility by the hands of the Otakus which would utilize the facility for what they recall as the "Ink Zuccer", some did not made it back to the mainland, while those that do reported the incident to the authorities, and they revealed much of the strengths of the Otakus and their army, they said that there were "a few thousand" Anime characters supplemented by about 700 to 1000 Otakus and Weaboos, they arrived in about a dozen warships, one of the warships was even remarked as anthropomorphic.

The report was passed on to Swag and Chris and then Mario and his friends also told them of their findings, by connecting the dots they now knew where they needed to visit, one major problem though.

Even with a sizable force for the battle, it seems they would endure heavy losses upon attacking the island with this much strength, Mushroom Kingdom couldn't send more troops as the total number of troops was somewhat limited and they needed it for the national defense, simply put the military strength they have now are not sufficient to attack the island and win a strategical victory, this is a major setback for them.

After going back and forth with what to do, they finally decided that they request some outside help, ask one or more countries to help them in the operation, forming a sort of coalition of armed forces ready to attack the island with more strength than they had at the time, Swag and Chris went to the president to request a permission to do exactly that, to which fortunately he agreed.

Mushroom Kingdom began eyeing on nearby countries which could do a favour for them, there's really isn't much countries around them that had a desirable military for the operation, but not much doesn't mean all countries around them don't have one that's desirable, and there's indeed one that stood out.

A letter was then sent to a particular country some hundreds kilometers away,  asking for it's willing participation on the matter of conducting a military operation as a coalition to solve an intenal crisis, fortunately, they agreed, replying back an affirmation of willingness to cooperate on the matter.
