The Plan

A Mikoyan Gurevich MiG-25RB supersonic reconnaissance jet was sent for reconnaissance gathering, it soars at high altitude and at high speeds of mach 2, as it arrives within the vicinity of Anime Island, it stabilized, allowing it's powerful side looking cameras to take several photographs of the island, in order to reveal it's defense arrangement.

However, it encounters something it never expects at such altitude, something which would've never known it was there in the first place, flak.

The pilot was confused, how did the gunners on the ground from 14 kilometers below spot him at such great distance?, not only that, the flaks shouldn't have the power to reach him in the first place, he tried to look for some sort of an explanation but to no avail, all incoming fire was coming from the ships docked at port, and several anti aircraft guns on land, they somehow knew he was there, and their anti air guns were exceptionally powerful, fortunately for him, no missiles were detected.

He immediately took some photographs of the island's defense, and quickly accelerated to mach 2.8, and egress back into the southeast, bringing the vital photographs with him.

Later on, the recon information was sent to the headquarters in Mushroom Kingdom, along with the pilot's report on the encounter, the photograph revealed several key targets, 3 coastal artillery batteries on the south, 3 bunkers on the southeast, a port with an entire navy docked on it on the east, and a small town near the center, possibly holding key elements of the defence force, with this information, a plan can finally be made.

Several military generals and commanders discussed the plan for their operation in a planning room, it was a difficult one to make due to the nature if the mission, but in the end they've sorted everything out, the plan goes as follows :

There would be two task force, each containing 1 warship division and 1 landing division, at the start of the operation the MKAF's landing division would sail to the island, while SAF landing division would go to the staging area near Bowser's Lair, for final coordination and briefing, while each warship division would be stationed 20km away from the island, RMKN (Royal Mushroom Kingdom Navy) on the northern side and Stralansia Navy on the southern side, and engage with any enemy warships that presented a threat to the landing division, closing the distance if need be, two aerial squadrons would also took part, they would operate sequentially and given a patrol route.

The Stralansia Navy's landing division consist of two Rotterdam LPDs, which would deploy 272 personnel in 8 LCVPs, a Teluk Bintuni LST would land 4 BMP-3F IFVs, and an Newport class LST would deploy 2 M1A1M main battle tanks.

The Royal Mushroom Kingdom Navy's landing division consist of an Acorn-class (which is stolen btw) and a Meringue-class armed carrier ship (the Acorn is similar to an auxiliary cruiser, while the Meringue is similar to a helicopter carrier), with Acorn carrying the main landing force consisting of 12 LCVPs, carrying 432 troops, and Meringue carrying 2 Mi-28 attack helicopters and 2 AV-8B Harrier jets, it can also be utilized for an impromptu repair ship for the LCVPs

The Stralansia Navy's warship division consist of a Hobart class destroyer, a Victory class corvette, and surprisingly a modernized Deutschland class cruiser, which is utilized for naval bombardment, as for Royal Mushroom Kingdom Navy, they had 4 Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates for defense against maritime threats.

And finally the first squadron consists of two MiG-29SE, two F/A-18Cs, four Hawk 209s for close air support (CAS), two CN-235 MPA for anti ship operation, and a Boeing E-7A airborne early warning on part of Stralansia's National Air Force (SNAF), RMKAF (Royal Mushroom Kingdom Air Force) sent a squadron consisting of four Arwings, two F-16C Block 50s, and an AC-130 gunship.

The MKAF would strike first, bombing out the 3 coastal artilleries north of the island and the port by using the F-16's standoff ordnance, then, the landing forces would advance to the island while the Deutschland cruiser gave naval bombardment until the landing forces was within the vicinity of the coasts, the two landing force would then land on the designated landing areas with close air support by the Hawk 209s, Mi-28s, AC-130s, and the AV-8Bs, then, MKAF would rescue the abducted while also clearing the underground part of the island, while Stralansia Armed Forces would sweep the defensive structures of the island and eliminating pockets of resistance, SAF would provide cover for the MKAF while they're transporting the hostages, after then, the mission would've been complete, both sides would then account for their loses and damages, and do a small cleanup operation to deal with casualties and the injured and proceed to go back to their respective bases, then after that's been completed the second cleanup operation begins, fixing damaged infrastructures and settlements and then relocating the former citizens of the island, the responsibility of the second cleanup operation was Mushroom Kingdom's, with perhaps some aid from neighboring countries, during the same time as the second cleanup operation an assessment and evaluation would be made on the course of the battle, finding what can be improved and designing or modifying doctrines for the next conflicts and battles.
