Rivals, even, as Shirabu had surpassed his senpai in setting abilities and had taken over the main position of setter.
A rival. Perhaps that's all Shirabu was to the older setter.
Shirabu hoped not.
He wanted to be more than teammates, than rivals.
Shirabu wanted to get to know Semi, talk with him, laugh with him, to simply interact him.
The chance to do so finally presented itself to Shirabu in a rather strange way.
It involved Tendou, of course.
