He was standing toward the beast, his body riddled with wounds. He couldn't feel his remaining arm, the other having been lost deep in the beast's gull. He gripped his dagger tightly, and ran at the beast. His protruding rib threatening to tear open his chest at any second. The beast reared up on it's hind legs as if taunting him. The man shoved his arm forward towards the beast hoping, praying, to pierce skin, but his dagger glanced off yet again. He tried desperately to leap backwards, but it was too late. The beast swiped at him, and he felt the claws tear into his skin for a moment before he was blown back. As he laid upon the floor, he felt his chest and raised his hand to see it soaked in blood God, what I'd do for a healer right about now. He stood up, he was light headed. He looked down to see a gruesome sight, he saw holes into his stomach. He collapsed, he couldn't move any longer. He couldn't stop this beast. He started to feel something thick and syrupy enter his throat, it was futile after all. Suddenly his life flashed before him, every single choice, every single person he lost along the way. The beast having grown tired of playing loomed closer. He grabbed his dagger Even if I'm bleeding. He stood up, he disregarded his injuries and he charged spitting blood and weak. Then suddenly he saw himself from behind, headless. His body collapsed. The beast grabbed the body by an arm, and started to tear. The sound of muscles being torn, and the crunching of bones could be heard from miles away.
