"I'm sorry about Piper." I tell him as he opens the passenger side door for me.

"Don't be sorry. She has every right to be upset with me." He replies before closing the door and walking around to the drivers side.

"So where are we going?" I ask changing the subject as he pulls onto the main road.

He reaches over the center console and takes my hand in his. "It's a surprise."

I roll my eye but then I smile at him.

We listen to some music and do a little bit of talking before we pull into a parking lot.

My eyes widen as we pull up. A man opens my door and I realize he does the valet parking.

Noah hands him his key and whispers something to him before coming over to me and linking his arm into mine.

"Noah this is so fancy." I whisper as we go inside.

He smiles. "Only the best for you."

I look up and a chandelier hangs from the ceiling.

People in suits and dresses go by and I'm in awe.

"Welcome Mr. Beck." A man says coming over to Noah.

"Hello Mr. Green." Noah greets him.

He leads us to a back room that's pretty private from the rest of the restaurant.

"Champagne?" Mr. Green asks Noah.

"Please." Noah requests kindly.

He leaves us alone.

"How do you know him?" I ask curiously.

"He's a friend of my fathers." He tells me.

"It's.. it's so nice." I tell him again.

"I wanted to impress you."

"Consider me impressed." I say quickly and he laughs.

Another waiter comes back and pours us each some champagne and hands us menus.

"Thank you." I tell him softly and he nods before leaving.

I look down at the menu to see what there is.

Noah's POV;

I can tell she's surprised about how fancy the restaurant is. It's so wonderful to see her smile and see her eyes light up.

"Uh Noah.." she says sheepishly.

"Yes?" I ask her softly.

"There's no prices on the menu." She whispers and I can't help but chuckle.

"Don't worry about the prices Lex." I tell her.

"But what if I order the most expensive thing on the menu.. I don't want to do that to you." She rambles.

"Alexis it's fine. You think I'd take you to this fancy of a restaurant if I was worried about prices?" I ask her.

She thinks for a second before slowly shaking her head.

"Now please look over the menu and figure out what to eat." I tell her softly.

She nods and looks over the menu.

After a little bit the waiter comes back and ask for our orders.

I clench my jaw as he checks her out. She seems oblivious to it though.

Alexis' POV;

"And you sir?" The waiter asks Noah but Noah's gaze is fixed on me.

"Noah?" I ask and he snaps out of whatever daze he's in.

"What?" He asks a little too harshly.

"What would you like sir?" The waiter asks him again.

He tells him what he wants and the waiter writes it down with a nod and then leaves us.

"You ok?" I ask him quietly.

"Fine." He says cooly.

"Noah." I say sternly and he sighs.

"I'm sorry. It's just.. he was checking you out. I'm literally sitting right here." He groans.

"No.. he wasn't." I tell him.

"He was. You were obvious to it." He rolls his eyes.

"Noah. I don't care if he's checking me out. I'm here with you." I say softly.

He takes a sip of his champagne and nods.

"I know.. I just.. I lost you once and I don't want to make the same mistake again." He says quietly.

"Then just don't go kissing any other girls." I say jokingly but by the way his eyes widen I can tell he doesn't know that I was just joking.

"Kidding." I add and he take a breath of relief.

He goes to say something but his phone rings.

He groans and I frown.

"I'm so sorry have to take this." He says before disappearing somewhere into the restaurant and leaving me alone at the table.

Noah's POV;

I cut through the kitchen and the staff doesn't mind since they know me.

"Hello." I answer once I'm out in the back of the restaurant.

"Noah we need to talk."

"About what." I ask blandly.

"Noah. We need to talk about your scheduling, your views, your content." My manager tells me and I rub my forehead frustratingly.

"Ok I can't now can I call you in the morning?" I ask.

"9 am sharp. If I don't hear from you I'm dropping the contract. I'm putting a lot on the line for you kid. You were doing good but now that you're back home you dropping. I need you to invest yourself. Move out to LA. It's the only thing you can do if you want to succeed." He explains to me.

"Ok. We'll talk tomorrow. Thank you." I say in the most monotone voice before hanging up.

When I go back in Alexis has food on the table.

"I didn't know when you'd be back so I ordered.." she says quietly.

"That's fine I'm not even that hungry right now." I lie. I am hungry but I'm not in the mood to eat anymore.

"Oh.. ok." She frowns.

She eats her meal and we talk a little here and there but for the most part she's quiet.

The ride home isn't much better. It's dark so I try to concentrate on the road but it's hard because she's so quiet and I glance at her every few seconds so see if she's awake or not.

"Please pay attention to the road Noah." She says quietly.

"Are you mad at me?" I ask.

She doesn't answer which makes my heart sink.

I pull into her apartment complex and she unbuckles but doesn't move.

"I want to come to LA with you." She says completely surprising me.

"W-what?" I stutter.

"I know you didn't give up that part of your life. And I'm not ready to give up on this second chance yet so.. if it's ok with you, when you go back to LA I'd like to come and check it out." She explains to me.

"That's... ok. That's great actually. The call I got was my manager he wanted to discuss a bunch of stuff. It just kind of put me down because I'm not ready to give up on this second chance yet either." I smile and she returns it.

"I love you Noah."

"I love you too Alexis."
