Lev x Yaku

Chapter 5

I hugged my arms tighter around me and started to snore as I felt small arms return the favor.

-- Yaku's POV --

I woke up at around five in the afternoon, my arms wrapped around the lanky middle blocker, I surprise myself by snuggling in closer. I inhale Lev's scent, then exhale, I probably distubed Lev in some way because he shifted. He still clung to me as he faced the coffe table. The only thing keeping me from falling off was Lev's tight grip around my waist.

After about ten minutes Lev woke up, I had my nose buried into his chest and all of my body pressed against him, even my legs were tangled with his. He surprised me when he snuggled in closer.

"You really make it hard to not like you," he whispered, clearly thinking I was asleep, "when you're so damn cute I just want to grab you and do things you would never let me do." My face heated up, I was probably as red as a Nekoma team jersey to hide it I snuggled closer. He sighed and untangled his legs from mine, I tried to hide my disappointment but I don't think it worked, "bad dream?" He asks me, sitting up and rubbing my head. I slowly open my eyes.

"Lev," I mutter into his chest. He responds with a hum while he lifts me up and sits me on the couch next to him. "Why?"

"Why what?" He asks me while he stands and heads to the kitchen. For some reason tears pricked my eyes, threatening to spill out.

"That thing you said to me," whatever Lev was holding in his hand clattered to the floor. "Lev?"

"Y-you heard that? All of that?" the more I thought about it the more I thought I shouldn't have heard it.

"I-I'm sorry, I just don't see how someone like you." I point to him, "could like someone like me," I point to myself, "you just have so much more potential as a volleyball player, and you could be so much more but I-," my voice cracks. Next thing I know, Lev's sitting down next to me with his arm around my shoulder showing me a side of him I've never seen before, I lean into him and everything pours out. When I say everything I mean everything, finally being in comforting arms gave me the confidence to tell Lev all of my worries. I told him about how I was self conscious about how tiny my body was, and everything just came out after that.

"Shhh..." I know I'm the mom of Nekoma but right now I need to let it all out. Lev was consoling me as I once again buried my nose into his chest.
