Soon enough it was seven o'clock and we hear the rain pouring outside.

"It's only supposed to get worse kiddos," the old lady behind the counter says as she dries a coffee mug. That's when the sky decided it was a good time to add lights to the water show, thunder boomed across the sky and lighting hit the road.

----

Yaku's POV

I jumped nearly out of my shoes as the lighting hit the road right in front of the store. We were now standing at the door prepared to make a break for Lev's house, we decided to go there because it was closer. I look up at Lev and realize he's staring at me.

"Yaku, are you scared?" I flush in embarrassment.

"No! It's just really bad out there. And you said your house was closer then mine, and it's still half a mile away, do you think we'll make it?" I asked quietly. Part of me expected him to laugh it off and tell me it was stupid to worry, I was wrong. Instead, he wrapped his volleyball jacket around my arms and gave me a reassuring smile. He grabbed my hand and put his other at the door.

"Well you don't need to be scared, I'm taller so I'll get hit by lightning first," I wrap his jacket tighter around my arms.

"Lev, I don't want you to get struck by lightning." I doubt he heard because the next thing I knew I was being whisked out the door, Lev was squeezing my hand so I squeezed it back. It surprisingly didn't take long for us to get to Lev's house, but when we got there we were soaking wet. "Lev why don't you take a warm shower?" he shakes his head in response.

"Naw, you go. I'll make tea for when you get out," he walks off into a room I can only assume is the kitchen.

"But Lev-" I start to argue.

"C'mon, the tea will get cold if you keep arguing. Just go take a nice warm bath and then come down for tea. It's not hard Yaku." I sigh, finally giving up I make my way to the stairs, "third door on your left!" he yells after me.

The warm bath water was nice and relaxing, I stayed in for about ten minutes then got out to shower and wash myself off. It was a long day, as I rinse my hair out I can't help but think about the new middle blocker whose house I'm in. Whose shampoo I'm using, I inhale through my nose, it smells like him. I blush and shake the images of Nekoma's middle blocker out of my head.

"Get your shit together Yaku" I mutter under my breath and turn the water off. I reach for a towel and dry off. When I looked at the sink counter I saw a huge black T-shirt and shorts, Lev must've put them in here when I was taking my shower. I put the clothes on but the shirt fell down to my knees and the shorts fell down to my ankles looking like I was pantsed from behind. I decide to just keep my boxers on.

I walk downstairs to find Lev, he was sitting at the table when I got to the bottom of the stairs, he was staring at me wearing his shirt but quickly looked down to his tea. I shrugged it off, It's not like he would ever like me. He has so much potential, and I'm just a stupid third year.
