Chapter 1: Moving in

Adora POV

I'm on my way to my new high school dorm, my friends bow and glimmer are helping me out considering they already go to the school.
"Excited to meet your dorm buddy Adora?" Bow asks
"Eh, kinda. I'm kinda hoping it's not some girly girl like my last one, she was so lame" I laugh
"Atleast in this Your put in a dorm with same gender no matter what, so you may have a chance on finding a lover" glimmer says
"Not really into love right now Glim, mainly just football and other sports" I reply leaning back in bows car
"I get that Adora, but your gonna have to find somebody, you can't just give up because of one person" Glimmer says referring to my ONE ex
"I'm just not looking for a relationship right now, rather just have my friends" I say
We finally reach the high school, bow drives to the back of the building where there's a smaller building for dorms.
"Lead the way Adora, I got the rest of your luggage" bow says
"Thanks bow" I say
We walk into the dorm building and I look at my key for the dorm number. '103'. Awesome, it's on the first floor.
"Go on, open the door" bow says as we reach the door.
I put my hand on the handle before reading the names on the door. 'Room of: Catra Magicat, Adora Greyskull'.
"Interesting name" I say to myself
I open the door to see a cat like girl on the couch watching tv. She pauses the tv.
"I told you for the last time Jace, I'm not going on your stupid date" the girl says
"Uhm, I'm not Jace." I say
She jumps up surprised.
"Shit I forgot you were coming today" she says smacking her forehead
"Uh, yea.." I look her up and down, she was indeed a cat. Isn't that a rare species?
"Hey Catra, I assume, this is your roommate, her names Adora" Bow says introducing me
"Cool, I guess. Your room is down the hall on the left- I mean right. I switched room last week so it'll be a bit for me to get used to that" she says pointing down the hall
"Thanks, I'll start unpacking" I say then turn to bow "Bow, you can go see your girlfriend now, I bet she's waiting"
"Right, later Adora" he puts the luggage down and walks off closing the door behind him.
"Before I go unpack, mind talking afterwards? Y'know to get to know each other?" I ask
"Yea sure, whatever" she says, she hasn't even been looking at me
"Yea... alright, see you in a few" I head down the hall and went to my room.
It was quite the room size, not too big, not too small. I start off with making my bed, then unpacking my clothes, to putting my collectibles on the shelf, to finally putting up my lesbian flag.
"Perfect, that only toke about an hour" I say finally finishing
"Nice flag" I hear a voice say, I turn around and it's Catra.
"Oh, uh thanks. I hope you don't mind rooming with a gay" I nervously laugh
"Not at all, I'm gay myself" Catra chuckles.
"Oh really now?" I laugh
"Anyways, I made lunch, it's nothing special, just sandwiches, I hope you like PB+J" she asks
"Yea, I do, and thanks, you didn't have to" I reply
"Eh, I was making myself one, so why not make two." She shrugs.
We walk into the kitchen area and sat at the tiny table, we talked and laughed for hours. And while talking I realize she had two different yet beautiful eyes, an almost sky blue eye and a bright yellow one.
"Adora? Everything alright?" She asks and I realized I was staring
"Oh uh- yea, I just noticed your eyes. Their pretty" I compliment
"Really? Most people call me a freak" she says
"What?! Your not a freak, you actually quite beautiful-" I stop realizing I said those out loud. "I-I mean" damn, am I falling for her already...
"Thanks.." she says
"Oh uh- n-no problem" I say still blushing
"Wanna watch a movie?" She asks
"Sure, what movie?" I say
"Hmm. I was thinking 'a silent voice', I think it's a beautiful story" she says
"Oh, sure! Sounds interesting" I say as we both walk to the couch.
We started off with both of us at each end of the couch, but during the movie, Catra got a bit cold and got closer. And towards the end, we were both passed out laying with each other on the couch. I woke up hearing the news on the tv, the first thing I heard tho was purring. I look down, and Catra was snuggled into my chest. It was... kinda cute. Wait- what am I thinking, I JUST met her. Then I hear a groan. I look back down and Catra's eyes flutter open,she looks up and almost jumps off the couch, but I catch her in time.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep on you, I-"
"It's fine Catra, we both were knocked, and if anything I feel like it's my fault" I say
"How would it be your fault?" Catra asks
"I mean you were just laying there, I was the one with my arms around you.." I say and my face heated up.
There was silence for a while, until Catra started to walk to her room.
"Catra wait-" I say right before Catra closes her door. "Damn it, I ruined the fun.." I said to myself
I sat on the couch and watched the news.
"Schools are shutting down for a few days, thanks to this awful storm coming by us. We have news that the storm will be happening around 5 today, so students, adults, and children, stay indoors." The tv says
I look down at my phone and it was 3:57. So basically an hour before the storm. I switch the channel over to a football game. The game that's playing today is the 49ners vs the Saints. I sat watching for an hour, then I heard a loud bang outside. "Must be the storm". I say to myself, then there was another one and I hear Catra run out of her room.
"Something wrong Catra?" I say as she sits on the couch cuddled up in a blanket.
"Y-Yea, everything is fine-" another bang "EEP" she shouts as she cuddles next to me.
"Scared of some thunder?" I ask chuckling
"N-No!" She says as back up a bit.
"Catra, it's alright if you are. You don't need to hide anything around me" I say pulling her closer and wrapping my arms around her to comfort her. And she just hides her face, I wanted to pull the blanket away so I could see her face, but I didn't want to make anything more awkward than it is. Then another loud bang, Catra jumps a bit and hides her face in the crook of my neck this time. I started to blush like crazy because I started to feel her breathes on my neck, we were really close at this point.

Catra POV

I was REALLY scared of the sound of thunder, it's always really loud and surprising. I hide my face in the crook of Adora's neck, and after a bit, I realized Adora was blushing. Hmmmm, I wonder if... if I can make her blush more. I smirk and toke this advantage, I placed a soft kiss on her neck. And I heard her make a "tch" sound, I guess she's really sensitive here... I placed a few more soft kissed before hearing a loud bang again, and I wrapped my blanket around my head. I feel a hand take the blanket off my head and placed the other hand on my cheek, Adora started to lean in closer until our faces were inches apart, she gave me a smirk then filled the gap. I didn't reject her lips, instead I just kissed back. We kissed for a bit until I heard thunder again and I hid my face again. When I peaked out of my blanket, I saw Adora was covering her mouth blushing like a tomato. It was.. kinda cute.. wait what?

Adora POV

I.... I kissed someone, I... I kissed Catra.. I felt my face heat up like crazy, I get up and went into my room. I laid down on my bed and put my face in the pillow. What is wrong with me, why am I kissing a person I just met today, and why am I blushing like crazy over it?! This is driving me crazy..... I soon realized I passed out on my bed, I'm pretty sure I slept for most of the storm, I woke up under a blanket and with a familiar sound. I heard purring again, this time I woke up spooning Catra in MY bed. I wanted to move and get out of bed, but once I saw how peaceful Catra's face was, I stayed and hugged her tighter towards me. I got a louder purr out of it, I actually quite like the purrs, they were calming to me. I shut my eyes, hoping to fall asleep again with this warmth and calming sound..
