Chapter 6: Ani

I sit on a chair by the table we always sit by when we are together. Michael is by my side, holding my hands, I am leaning my head on his shoulder and he leaning his head on top of my head.
"Hey. You alright?" Michael whispers to me.
"Yeah, I am fine." I whispered back at him. I hear few people talking and that they come closer towards us. As they come closer I can hear who they are. They are Cry, Chey, Pewdie, Marzia, Mary and Ken. They are going to join us during the games.
"Hey, Lily!" Pewdie says and throws to me a bread. I catch it and Michael moves his head from mine. "I thought it wouldn't hurt to snatch away one peace of bread and give it to you. I haven't seen you eat all day."
"Yeah, I haven't been that very hungry today. Maybe I am just nervous about the Games." I answer him back looking at the bread and take a small bite.
"Well eat, do something at least that will take your mind off things." Says Cry and throws another peace of bread to Michael. "You need something to eat as well."
"Thanks man." Michael says and takes a bite. "We were thinking of going to get something but it seems like you already have brought something."
"Well here, you will need this as well." Says Ken and hands me a bottle of water and Mary hands Michael one as well.
"Thanks, guys. You didn't have to tho." I said opening the bottle.
"Well we were worried if you guys wouldn't eat anything soon you would starve." Says Marzia and takes a bite of a jelly that she has on her plate.
"Hey Chey, how's it going with the ring?" Asks Michael and takes a sip from his bottle.
"The ring is ready, we just need a place where no one can see us." Chey says and looks around. "I am planning on that we all will go in my room and do the spell there."
"It sounds great, we will go when we are one eating." Says Pewds and takes a big bite of his sandwich.

After some talk and after finishing the food. We all stand up and clear the table.
"C'mon let's go and do the spell." Chey says and starts walking down the hallway and everyone follow. Shortly away from my own room is Chey's room. She opens the door and walks inside and invites all of us in. Pewdie, Ken and Cry go straight for the bed and sit down there. Me, Michael, Mary and Marzia sit down by a table with a jar in the middle.
"So this is going to be interesting." Says Ken and looks at Chey.
"Who wants to go first?" Asks Chey and picks up the ring from her pocket and a needle. "Cry, you go first."
"Why me, why not Pewds." Cry asks in shock. Chey looks at I'm with a grin.
"Well because you are a jerk so you go first." She says and grabs Cry's arm. "Give me your finger."
Cry points a finger at her and then she stabs him on the tip of his finger with the needle. A drop of blood drops down on to the ring. A lines of dark smoke stars to fill the room and as two lines bump together they start to form a person, not just a one person but two people as two other lines of smoke bump together again. The people start to look like how Cry is dressed and then they start to form the mask. One of them had a very virus-blue color in his chest and the other one has a glowing red. What is it with those colors? The people are wearing a hoodie and a hood over their heads. The one with the virus-blue color starts to become a little pixelated and the red one stars to get few red spots everywhere, like blood splatters. Then smoke starts to suck into the ring again and also the two shadow people. The room is now silent. The look on Pewdie when I looked at him after the smoke was gone, his face was like he was scared out of his mind. Cry looked around with the mask covering his whole face.
"What. The. Hell. Was that?" Says Pewdie with wide eyes.
"This was Cry's shadow protector." Says Chey. "His zodiac sign is Gemini, so that's why he has two protectors but they will protect as a one person."
"This is so interesting and scary... I like it." Says Marzia and looks at Chey excited. "I am next."
"Give me your finger." Says Chey. Marzia points a finger at her and Chey stabs her. A drop of blood falls on the ring and the dark smoke comes again but in a different form, it looks like animals that are runny around in the air. The animals go around the room and then they start to bump into each other and then form a person, again, but this time it looks like Marzia and with a two cages stuck to each other with a chain that is wrapped around the person. The person is wearing a cape with a large hood over her head. The person starts to fade away slowly and the smoke goes back to the ring.
"So, your zodiac sign is Libra." Chey says interested. "Your protector is pretty strong from the other once, he or she will use the chain and do a very large damage on people."
"That sounds so cool." Says Pewdie and points his finer at Chey, showing that he is next. Chey stabs his finger and the same happens, but the dark smoke goes straight up to the ceiling and starts to form a cloud, then the smoke starts to form a lightning that touches the ground and then starts to form Pewdie but wearing a shoulder armor. He is holding a cage in each hand and a chain connected to each cage. The person spins in circles and poofs into a small cloud that goes back to the ring.
"That was... Fabulous." Says Pewdie with a smile on his face and wide eyes.
"Your zodiac sign is also a libra. Like before, your protector will do a large damage." Says Chey and looks at Ken that looked so excited for his turn. "Ken? You want to go next?"
"Yes." Ken says and point his finger at her. Same happens but the smoke starts to act like a fire but doesn't burn anything. The smoke 'fire' goes around the room and then spreads around the floor and a girl with long hair in a dress starts to form. I am slightly confused. Ken is a guy and this is a girl. The fire and the girl start to fade away and go back to the ring.
"Why is Ken's protector a girl? He is a guy." Says Cry.
"His zodiac sign is a Virgo, and Virgo is a girl." Says Chey and grins at Cry.
"Ooooh." Say Pewdie and Cry and look at each other's.
"Anyway. Virgo is strong enough to protect two people. So if Mary doesn't want to do this then you can just give your protector a order to protect her."
"What do you say, Mary?" Says Ken and looks at her. She thinks for a second and answers.
"I'd rather want to keep all my blood till the game starts."
"Alright." Says Chey. "Michael. You want to go next?"
"Sure, why not?" Michael looks at me and point a finger at Chey. Chey stabs and quickly a smoke starts to spin around the room and start to form a running lion. The lion start to shrink and run to the ring.
"Leo huh?" Says Chey and looks at the ring that has no blood spot but it 5 big stars are spinning around in the ring. "Strong one, fast and acts like a lion."
"Well. me and you are left, Chey." I say and point my finger at her. "Just get it over with." Chey looks at me stabs my finger. A blood drop drops down at the ring and a liquified smoke starts to leak from the ring, it starts to form two puddles and out of the puddle a two smoke version of me starts to form, but my hair is up in the air and acting like a fire, my cat ears are there and my tail as well. The smoke starts to fade away like a fire and a small ball of smoke and slowly goes back to the ring.
"You are a Gemini too." Says Cry and sits down in a lotus on the bed. "What day?"
"11th of June... Why you asking?" I say and look at him confused.
"Holy shit!" He says an a whispering shout. "We share the same birthday."
"What?" I says an say with a small smile. I don't know why I was smily but I was, confused?
"I was just asking cause I always want to know the date of people's birthdays if they are in the same zodiac sign as I am."
"Well that's a one reason."I say and lift my eyebrows a little. Cry starts to make weird fangirl sounds and jumps up and down, still sitting in a lotus, on the bed. "Why are you doing that?"
"I have never known someone that shares the same birthday as me." He says and stops jumping.
"Now it's my turn." Says Chey and stabs her own finger and a black blood drops down. I have heard that Mords with shadow powers have black blood. The smoke starts to go up in the air and starts to form a forest. A half horse and a half man comes walking and walks a circle around the room and then goes away. The smoke forest goes back at the ring.
"Everyone done, Except for Mary?" Says Pewdie and looks around.
"Yeah everyone is done." Says Cry and his mask lifts up a little like he is smiling under the mask.
"Attention every player!" A voice starts to fill the room, everyone got startled by it a little. "Players shall be in the main hall after exactly 25 minutes. Mr. Sord is going to explain the map of the area and tell you the rules. 25 minutes."
"What was that all about?" Says Pewdie and stands up from the bed.
"You heard them, let's go to the main hall." Says Ken and walks to the door, he opens it and It's like everyone were inside their rooms and are now going to the main hall. Michael is walking by my side and holding my hand.
"Hey, it is going to be fine." He says whispering to my ear. "Your hands are cold and shaking." I noticed my hand were shaking a little but I didn't notice that they are cold.
"I'll be fine." I whisper back to him and he kisses me.
A person bumps into me, a person wearing a black hoodie and not tight jeans. The person quickly turns around and says.
"Sorry about that, I didn't mean to... Lily?"
"Ani?" I say back. Ani, one of my friends. He or she, never knew the gender, has a robot arm and, well, let's say that this is a well made robot but it's arm wasn't fully covered with waxed skin. It has a mind of its own and is sorted as a Mord. Ani looks at me and Michael surprised, the eyes are blue but you can see the robot texture in them.
"What the hell are doing here?" Asks Michael.
"I was the first one Roman picked so maybe that explains why I never found you." And says and fist pumps him with the robot hand.
"Well great. Now there are more people that I need to worry about." I say and look down.
"Baby, we can take care of ourselves. Don't worry about us, I hate when you worry." Michael says and lifts my head up with his finger looking in my eyes. I smile a little but am still sad. I don't want to find anyone else that I know, I don't want to worry about more people than I already do.
"Hey, Lily. You don't have to worry. We will be fine." Says Ani and smiles. I guess they will be fine, but still I worry.
"Even though you say that, I still worry." I say looking up at my closest friends.
"Please don't." Says Michael and kisses me lightly on my lips. I kiss him back and feel not as worried as I did.
"So, I saw you are in a team. Do you mind if I join? I don't know anyone to team up with other than you and your team." Says Ani and crossed its hands on the chest.
"Not at all! We would be glad to have you on our team." Says Mary behind Ani. Ani turns around and looks at the group with wide eyes.
"We saw that you two weren't following so we turned around and saw that you were talking to.... Him? Her?" Says Pewdie.
"I don't know what gender I am. Call me Ani." Ani says and hands out its hand for a fist pump.
"Hey, bro fist! I am PewDiePie" Says Pewdie and fist pumps Ani. Everyone introduces them selfs and Ani to them.
"We should get going, it's about to start." Says Cry and points at the main hall behind him with his thumb.
"Oh yeah, let's get going." I say and start walking.

Everyone are the hall, all 40 players. It seems that many of them are in groups but 10 of them are alone. I think we are the biggest group, it's just four, five or six in each group. We are seven now. We are a big and a easy target for the others, easy to find us and a shot to eliminate a lot of people.

The big screen is showing Roman. He has a black and white hair. Wearing a white fox fur around his neck and in a suit.
"Welcome Mords!" He says. "I am here to show you the map where you will be during the games and tell you the rules."
I look around and see that everyone are looking at the screen. The picture of Roman goes to the left bottom corner and a map of a Island comes up by his picture. This island is familiar, everyone seems to feel the same.
"This island is Mord Island, where your kind is from." Roman starts. "I have sent a team to prepare the beginning center."
A arrow points at a light grey area. Mord island? I have heard a lot of stories of how the Mords were created, and everything points at this island.
"These are ruins of an old watch tower. This island is bigger than you think. There are a lot of creatures there that you have never seen or know about." Roman continues, few pictures come up of a weird animal that don't look like the normal once. "Some of these animal are dangerous and some are not. On the island are three lakes and many rivers that connects the lakes. The rivers are possible to go over, but in the rivers are creatures that can be very dangerous."
Everyone are listening carefully to what he is saying so they don't get lost.
"There is s mountain close to the ruins. So if some of you like high places then you can go there, there is also the start of the rivers." Roman says and looks to the sides. "Now for the rules: you can kill each other, just to make it easier for you to win. You can team up with other players but that just makes you need to kill the team members when everyone else is dead. You will be given a stone to protect while the games are on, keep it close to you, if you loose it you are dead, as in we send a beast to go and kill you."
Everyone does not agree on that and start to talk. My team members look at each other's with a terrified look in their eyes.
"You will have three months to survive. The staff will you to your room in two days and give you some new clothes for the games." Roman says and then he is gone. The screen is still showing the map and pictures of the animals. What now?
