Chapter 7: Animals of Mord island

[next morning]

[dream]
Running around in a dark forest, one of my fears. I run and run. I look behind and see a pack of white wolves following me. I run and jump over fallen trees, the howling from the wolfs is getting closer. The sound of a growling, hungry wolf follows me. The forest is dark, I can't see branches that make scratches on my hands, body and legs. I know I can see in dark cause of my cat looking eyes, but in dreams that doesn't work. I hit my toe in a rock and I fall down a hill. I role down and still hear the wolfs still follow. I stop at the bottom of the hill and I hit my body at a tree. The wolves get me and start to dig their claws at me. They start to bite me and make me bleed. I scream and cry for help, I have to get away. I hear familiar voice calling for me, who is it?
[wake up]
"Lily... Lily?!" Michael shouts over me as I get startled and sit up quick. I am sweating and crying. Michael grabs around me quick and stokes my hair. "Are you Okay?" I breathe heavily and hug him back only, I feel weak. His hair is wet, he must have taken a shower.
"Bad dream." I whisper.
"Yeah, I realized. You were screaming, crying and fighting in your sleep." He whispers back. "What was it about?"
"Wolves were chasing me and I fell down a hill and they got me and attacked me." I start to sob and digging my face into Michael's chest.
"Baby, it's okay. It was just a dream." He says and holds around me tighter.
"What if it has a meaning?" I ask and look up at him.
"You and your freaky thoughts. It doesn't, maybe but let's not think of this anymore." Michael says and kisses my forehead. "Come everyone is awake and is finding books to get information about the island."
"Are there now books in the hall?" I ask as I move and put my legs over the edge of the bed and stretch my hands up in the air.
"No, over the night a wall in hall opened like a door and revealed a large library." Michael says and wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my shoulder. I drop my hands and lean my head backwards.
"Well let's get going then." I say and stand up from the bed and pick up my pants. I get in them and pick up my hoodie, I get in it and look at Michael that is not wearing his T-shirt or hoodie. He stands up and picks his shirt up from the chair, I just look at him.
"What? You want to touch?" He smirks at me and flexes his abs. I smirk back at him and walk slowly to him.
"Maybe." I whisper and lay my hand on his stomach. He lightly laughs, grabs my waist with one hand and pulls me closer to him. We both smirk at each other. I slowly move my hand to his waist and I move my head closer to his face. He kisses me on the lips and hugs me, I hug him back. We end the kiss and he sighs.
"I love you." He whispers to me.
"I love you too."
"We should get going." He says and let's go of me and puts on his shirt.
"Yeah." I answer as he picks up his hoodie and puts it on, he pulls the hood over his head that covers his eyes and nose. I lightly smile and walk to the door. I open it and Michael grabs my hand and holds it as we walk from his room. I see the hall and that the wall under the big screen had opened like a door.
"The others are already inside, Ani was the first to discover this cause you know, it doesn't sleep." Says Michael and walks towards the door. I follow him.
"Have you found something so far?"
"No not really, I was with them for a bit then I went to take a shower and when I got out, you were screaming and fighting." He said and took a tighter grip on my hand. I look down and think about the wolfs, they were white and there were two other colors, I don't remember the colors but there were.

"Hey guy's! We found a book that has some interesting information!" Calls Cry and points at a big book that is wide open in the middle, lying on a round table. The other are sitting by the table and looking at the book.
"Good, is it about the animals or the island itself?" Michael asks and sits down on a chair, I sit down next to him and look down at the book.
"It's about the animals." Says Mary and moves her corgi dog ears. I look down at the book and see a animal that looks sorta like a fox but isn't a fox.
"Lily? You look tired, what's wrong?" Ani says and tilts its head to the side.
"I am fine, just had a bad dream." I say and smile.
"What was it about?" Marzia asks me and moves her interest to me.
"I was just running in a forest and white wolfs were chasing me, I fell and rolled down a hill and my body hit a tree as I was at the bottom of the hill, the wolfs got me and started to attack me." I tell them and they all looked terrified.
"She even was fighting, crying and screaming in her sleep." Adds Michael and wraps his arm around my shoulder and kisses me on the side of my forehead.
"Wow, was it that bad?" Asks Pewdie and presses his lips together.
"I guess it was bad since I was fighting in my sleep."
"Oh I forgot to tell you guys." Says Ani and picks up a note from the pocket. "This note was on the door when I saw that this door was open. The door closes at the same time as the hall does. And this is our only chance to get information about things."
"Well we gave to get information quickly then." Says Ken and looks down at the book. Everyone else does and Cry starts to read up from the book:
"Longtail- an animal that is close to a fox, it has a 70 centimeters long tail. Eyes can see really far and ears can hear for about 2 miles. Longtail eats rats, birds, squirrels and sometimes plants. It has sharp claws to climb trees. Has sharp teeth. It's 80 centimeters tall and long. Can smell for a mile. It fears lions, alligators and crocodiles. It lives either in holes in the ground or holes in trees. Hunts at nights and walks around at days."
"The colors of the fur are pretty cool. They can be purple!" Says Pewdie.
"Yeah but it's rare." Says Chey. "Plus their eye colors can be in pretty awesome colors as well. And the spots on the back."
"I have taken the information and added to a safe file." Says Ani.
"Wait! How did you do that?" Asks Pewdie.
"I am a robot, you guys have brains, I basically have a folder with many saved files in my head."
"That's actually pretty cool." Says Cry and flips the page, a picture of a squirrel looking animal with two tails. Cry continues to read.
"A Sneep- a animal close to an squirrel. It has two fluffy tails. It is about 14 centimeters tall and its tails as well. It eats fruits and lives in trees. It's a very curious animal. It fears snakes and lizards. The tail has three colors, grey, pink and blue. It has large ears to hear if there is a danger close. It has tingly feet. It fur is really soft. It can bite but it won't do anything."
"So it's just like a squirrel, only it has two tails and looks like a plushy." Says Chey and grins.
"It looks cute." Says Marzia. Cry turns the page and a picture of a small bird is on the middle of the page. Large letters are on the top of the page. "WARNING: Very Dangerous"
"How can this tiny bird be dangerous?" Asks Pewdie.
"Let's find out." Says Cry and starts to read. "Spotter- it fears fire. It has sharp teeth to eat meat and flesh. It is about 7 centimeters tall. It has very sharp claws. It has spots on the top of the head and above the eyes. It lives in nests in trees."
"So it eats meat and flesh, That's why it's dangerous." Says Ken.
"Well, we will be careful and keep an eye on our surroundings." Michael says. Cry flips to the next page. A picture of a naked woman with really long hair and creepy eyes and mouth.
"What the hell is that?" I ask with wide eyes.
"Let's find out." Cry says. "Soulion- a mix of soul and illusion. It can only be seen by someone who has lost a loved one. When it's not hunting for food it flies about 3 centimeters above the ground and usually stays away from other Soulions. When it is hunting, It goes into a form of a lost one and looks like a ghost. It whispers in the voice of the loved one, but as you get closer the whispers turn into screams. It kills people with swirling eyes, and only eats human flesh. It can only be killed by the one that sees it. The eyes are black and red. It has really sharp teeth. It can change sex but usually stays in female. It wears no clothes. It skin looks like old paper. It hair color is usually black but rarely seen with brown hair."
"That is a creepy ass monster." Says Pewdie and looks terrified.
"We better keep away from it. It doesn't say where it hides, tho." Says Mary.
"Maybe they don't sleep and just wander around island." I say and looks closer into the book. Cry flips the page and I look quickly back. Spider with a skull on the back. I fucking hate spiders. Marzia also looks back.
"I hate spiders." Marzia says and shakes her head. Cry reads.
"Occider spider- it lives during summer, spring and fall, the spider dies during winter. It spins its web night up in trees. It usually eats flys but as it teeth touches flesh it bites. The eyes are red and the body is brown and black, the skull is in a light yellow white color. It has a mark on the back which looks like an X. The X comes in different colors. When the spider bites you you get positioned, you don't have much time when the spider bites you. The time depends on the color of the X. If the X is red you have 2 minutes left to live, purple 3 minutes, blue 5 minutes, green 7 minutes and yellow 10 minutes."
"Occider means 'kill' in Latin." Chey says and looks at us. "We better keep a lookout for the spider and we have notice the X if it bites one of us."
"You are right." I say and look at the picture of the spider.
"If Lily screams then we know a spider is around." Says Michael and lays his hand on my shoulder and shakes me. "She is terrified of spiders and usually screams when she sees one."
"Michael... Shut up." I say, grin at him and punch his shoulder.
"Hey, it's true! I have seen you do it." He says and grabs my wrist and pulls me over to him and kisses my forehead.
"Don't embarrass me." I whisper and feel my face blush.
"It's actually a good thing." Ani says. "You can be a alarm for when spider is close."
I look at the others and see that they are expecting me to be the 'alarm'.
"Fine, I'll be a spider alarm." I say and look at the book. I flip the page and see a picture of a white wolf, they look exactly like the once from my dream. Everyone look at me as I look at the page with wide eyes. Cry reads out loud.
"Alpa lupus- it lives in caves in mountains. It acts like a normal wolf. It is very silent when hunting preys. It has markings on its sides and head, the markings are blue, red but very rare if it's both red and blue. The markings glow in dark. Blue markings mean hope, red lost and both mean death. It claws are strong and teeth as well. Their eyes are usually pitch black very rare if snow white."
"What was the color of the markings on the wolves in your dream." Asks Marzia.
"I don't remember." I answer and look closely at the picture of the wolf.
"Well let's not think of this anymore, next page." Michael says and flips the page. The look in his eyes, he is trying to avoid that I over think of this, he is protecting me.
"What. The. Fuck. Is that?" Asks Pewdie and stares at a picture of a whale. "Is this some sort of a steam punk whale?"
"Looks like it, but it seems like there isn't much known about tit since the page is half empty." Says Ken and looks at the page Cry reads what the page has to say.
"Volans cete,- A unknown creature, rarely seen (once every 1000 years. Never been captured by a camera. Not known very much about. This picture is a thought of how it looks like. No one is sure with colors. No one can follow it for information, teleports somewhere after two days."
"Volans cete, means flying whale." Says Mary. "So that must be the reason why no one can catch up with it."
"Wait so this is a flying whale?" Asks Pewdie. "That is ridiculous."
"Well here we have proof that it exists, only it's rarely seen." I say and point at a drawing of the whale. Cry flips the page but there isn't much more.

[later]

"Hey, it's getting late. I am going to get some sleep." Says Ken and is holding Mary's hand. We are all still in the library and looking for books that could help us more. Ani walks and scans over the books and finds some books about plants that can be eaten and more about animals that are on the island but it seems there aren't much of animals. We had been in the library all day and once in a while went to get something to eat.
"Alright, get some rest." Says Chey and closes book she was holding in her hand. "What time is it?"
"It's about 10pm." Says Cry and looks up from the book. With his feet up on a table and leaning back on a chair. His mask hiding his face but moved a bit to the side revealing his left eye so he could read from the book. I look over to Michael where he is walking looking at me with a book in the hand. I am sitting on the floor with my knees up agains my chests, leaning my back agains a bookshelf and with a book about plants that can make poison. I rub my eyes and yawn. I close the book and wiggle my ears and move my tail. Michael puts away the book and walks to me. He bends down and puts his hand under my knees and the other behind my back, he lifts me up and hold me tight. I smile at him and look at the others.
"We are going to bed too, things will be different tomorrow." Michael says. I see his eyes from under his hood.
"Alright get some sleep we will see what happens tomorrow." Says Cry and his mask lifts up a little like he is smiling under.

Michael starts to walk out of the library with me in his arms, he goes to my room and plants me on the bed.
"You seemed tired so I wanted to get you to bed." Michael says as he strokes my jaw and kisses me.
"Well thank you. I was more of wanting to go and take a shower cause look at my hair." I say and scratch my head, moving my hair and showing that it's dirty. "I really have to clean my hair."
Michael smirks at me and sips down my hoodie, I grab his hand.
"I can get undressed myself, you know." I say and smirk.
"I know, I just want to help." He says and smiles. He stands up and "I'm going to get the shower running."
"Mikey..." I say and look at him as he opens the door to the bathroom. Michael looks at me, surprised with what I called him, I rarely call him Mikey. "Thank you, I appreciate it."
"You are welcome, baby." He says with a smile and walks into the bathroom. I stand up from the bed and take off my hoodie, pants and top. I trow the top on the table and see that there is a message on the screen on the table.
"Tomorrow you will be picked one by one to get your clothes for the games. After you are done you can go to the training area and you can train with your teammates."
I look up and rub my face. I am really tired. Michael comes out from the bathroom and looks at me.
"The water is warm, you can go and relax. I'll wait here and get ready for bed."
"Alright, I'll be quick." I say and stand up from the table, only wearing my bra and panties. "There is a message here from the staff, you should check it out."
Michael just stands there in the doorway and looks at me.
"You look gorgeous as always." He whispers and takes off his hood. I blush and smile.
"Well this isn't for the first time you see me like this." I say and tilt my head to the side.
"No but with every time I see you like this you get more beautiful." He says and walks up to me. My tail swings around slowly and my ears wiggle. I blush more and I close my eyes as I feel his hand around my waist, his warm hands. I wrap my hands around him and look up in his eyes.
"I love you." I say and kiss him on the shoulder.
"I love you too." He says and kisses me on the top of my head. "Now clean yourself and come to bed."
"Oh yeah." I say and let go of him and I walk to the bathroom. "I'll see you in few minutes." I say as I close the door to the bathroom.
I look at the bathroom, it has a big mirror and a lot of candles. The sound of the water running in the shower is so calming. I take off the rest of the clothes and step into the shower. The warm water runs through my hair and drips down my body. I let the water get hair all wet before I grab a shampoo bottle that is in the room and clean my hair and my fury ears and tail.

I step out from the bathroom, with my hair still a little wet and my tail and ears, I was done drying my hair with a towel. Michael is lying on the bed looking at the air, with his hand user the head and the other on the stomach, wearing no shirt or pants. As he hears me step on the the floor he looks at me.
"You fresh?" He asks and looks at me with a smile.
"Yeah. I'm going to get some sleep now." I say as I sit down on the bed and lie down on his chest. "Did you read the message?"
"Yes, and I don't know where this training area is." He says and wraps his hand around my shoulder. "I guess we will find out tomorrow."
"Yeah." I say and close my eyes. "Good night."
"Good night."
