As Jac opened her office door, she felt a certain wave of business as usual wash over her. As much as Jac had selflessly given her time to support Sacha, she knew being back in the hospital, back on Darwin was where she needed to be, for her own mental health and for the health of her patients.

Kian was not in work today, he had been covering for Jac over the last week when she had been off. Jac realised over the last week, she had hardly given a thought to Kian. Things had been going well for them, he had given Jac the space he knew she would need, which Jac appreciated. Deep down though, she questioned should she have missed him more, thought about him more? She decided to push those thoughts out of her mind for now and focus on her ward and her work.

Opening her emails she saw an urgent message from the CEO Max. The subject read 'COVID 19 CRISIS'. This was information the whole hospital staff had been waiting for. Reading over each and every detail of the email, Jac knew these next weeks and moths were going to be some of the hardest, the hospital and indeed the NHS had ever known. She knew that her team on Darwin were strong enough to cope with anything thrown at them. The whole of Holby had been through so much these last few years, she had no doubt that together they would get through the crisis in front of them.

*Fletch's POV*

Siting down in his office with his take away coffee from Pulses, Fletch powered up his desktop. He rubbed him temples, he knew, like all senior staff that there would be an email from Max outlining the hospitals next steps to dealing with the rapidly escalating Covid 19 crisis. Rubbing his eyes to focus on the screen in front of him, Fletch read and re read all the information outlined in the lengthy email from the hospital CEO.

*Jac's POV*

Heading out of her office and covering her face with a face mask, as directed in the email from Max, Jac walked in to Fletch's office. He already had his mask on as if he knew he would be inundated with nurses and other staff with so many questions. Jac and Fletch discussed how they would need to talk to all the staff on the ward, even those who weren't currently on shift. They also discussed the isolation measures that Max had asked them to consider for their time outside the hospital. Jac knew instantly that she would ask Jonny to take Emma for the immediate future. She askes Fletch what he thought he was going to do. She knew he had so much to consider. Unlike Jac he didn't have another parent to help with his children. She also knew he was in an at risk group due to his recent illness. Fletch paused and just said to Jac he would sort himself and the kids out once he had informed all of his staff of the measures. Typical Fletch though Jac, even after everything he had been through, always putting his staff and others before him. She knew she wouldn't let herself finish her shift without making sure he had a plan in place to protect himself and his children.

Together they walked out of Fletch's office to call together all the staff and to contact all off-shift staff to talk them through what was to come. As daunting as the evolving health crisis seemed Jac knew that she was in the place she needed to be, with a strong team by her side to do all they could to fight this virus.
