The Star Blessed Twelve (SDS Fic)

Chapter 3

Because this is a fanfic, I will be changing some of the canon events, mainly who's fighting who. I'll still have the major fights but I needed to adjust some things so my characters could be added in without it feeling weird or out of place.

The  remaining competitors were lead off of the ring and into a small hut built on a wooden platform. She noticed that the Holy knight from before had managed to move on, along with another

"Brooke! I didn't expect to see you here!" A voice exclaimed and Brooke looked over her shoulder to see the same golden haired girl she had seen earlier on the ring. "It's been what, one, two thousand years? I'm surprised you're participating in this. These fighting festivals aren't really your thing."

"They're not. But I didn't have much of a choice in the matter." Brooke said, glancing towards Ban with a sour look on her face.

"Is this girl one of those friends you mentioned earlier?" King asked, floating over to the two of them, Meliodas and Ban with him.

"Oh, hey! The floating cheater!" The girl exclaimed looking up at King, giving him a wide grin.

"Please don't call me that." King muttered, pressing his face into his pillow.

Brooke nodded, "She is. Let me introduce to you guys Aarona Terato."

The girl, Aarona, nodded, "I saw the two of you fighting out on the ring earlier. It totally got me hyped up!"

"All right, we will now hold the lottery for the finals! Everyone line up!" Love Helm announced, cutting their conversation off short. Everyone in the hut lined up and Love Helm continued talking. "The first round will be fought between contestants who draw the same letter!"

"I'm looking forward to us going right to the finals." Ban said from in front of Brooke.

"Don't talk like that and get knocked out before the end!" Meliodas said.

"Who do you think you're talking to?"

"Ouch... the stress is killing my stomach." King muttered.

"Come on, the worst opponent you could be paired up with is me." Aarona said, placing a hand on King's shoulder. "And I doubt that's going to happen!"

King just groaned and held on to his pillow tightly.

Eventually all of them drew their lots and were waiting inside the hut for Love Helm to organize the fights. It wasn't long until he had organized everything. "Because of the amount of competitors this year, you'll all have to draw lots once more after your round! With that being said, I will now be announcing the fight cards. The first pairing is Griamore vs. Matrona!"

"That's the amazing girl from earlier." King stated.

"I've never heard of her, but it's a big world out there." Meliodas stated.

The girl glanced over shoulder for a split second before looking away, and Love Helm continued to list of the matches. "The second pairing is Aarona vs. Taizoo!"

"Aw yeah! After he said he was the three year champion I've been wanting to fight him!" Aarona cheered.

"Just don't go crying to your mommy when I throw you off the ring." Taizoo said, looking down at Aarona.

The golden haired girl placed her hands on her hips and grinned, "I should be the one saying that to you."

"Hold on..." King muttered looking over towards the blond man they had talked to before the first round. "Now I remember. That man is a Holy Knight! I saw him with Gilthunder on several occasions."
