Narrator: "Long ago, there was a time where humans and Pokémon once lived in total harmony coexisting with one another."
A soothing yet deep voice says as the view shines brightly, before fading to multiple scenes of both species living together peacefully in different situations. As this is showing, the narrator continues.
Narrator: "A time where the only thing that both species knew was peace. Since the dawn of time, life on Earth has been as good as it'll ever be. Everything was perfect, until one day, that all changed when out of nowhere, two large dark portals opened up in the sky."
The camera pans up to the sky as it slowly darkens up by clouds. Within seconds, two mysterious portals appear on each side respectively and open up to reveal two abnormally large monsters coming out of them. Their roars being so loud and powerful that anyone would be able to hear them from the ends of the Earth.
Narrator: "Out of each portal were two monsters, one whose skin shined as bright as the sun while the other one looked as dark as the night sky. However, what also came with them was a dark cloud of energy that swept across the land and would soon bring so much despair and suffering to this world. It was the beginning of the root of civilization... the massacre of tranquility.."
The two monsters fought one another for dominance, while some humans began to cry and scream in pain as they were slowly corrupted by dark energy. The remaining humans and Pokémon ran to evade the monsters' destruction. One by one, the Shinrin region was torn into pieces. Those who lived in the Sabaku and Fubuki regions could witness the battle from across the ocean. The dark, scaled monster shot a ray of lighting from its mouth at the other, but it missed, leaving a trail of explosions and killing more lives. As the debris of town buildings fell, the blood of humans and Pokémon dotted the landscape far and wide.
Narrator: "The battle raged on for what felt like years until a beam of light shone down between the two monsters, forcing them to stand back. What came down from the light was the creation of life itself, the legendary Pokémon Arceus. Arceus was filled with uncontrollable rage because of the violent discord and sacrificed itself to banish the two monster back to their respective realms. An explosion of light shone brightly all over the planet and in a blink of a second, all that was left was the sight of destroyed buildings and thousands of human and Pokémon bodies covered in their own blood. Any remaining humans that survived the massacre were all corrupted with a dark energy."
The camera then shows one of those corrupted humans becoming evil and twisted minded. Pachirisu, who was that human's companion, looks at their friend checking to see if they were hurt. The human looked back at the Pachirisu with malicious intent, who then kicked the small Pokémon as hard as he could to a nearby tree, where the Pokémon coughed up blood upon impact. The small squirrel, looking confused and shocked, looks back at the human with tears slowly trickling down as he approaches it with an evil expression on his face. The camera then shows more scenes of the centuries that followed where society began to grow into a modern setting. Humans have developed more technologies and used them on Pokémon of all sizes. They were either treated like pawns for beneficial gain, abused by their trainers, or tested on like subjects in research labs.
Narrator: "Over the next millions of years, humanity treated the Pokémon species horribly due to the effects of the dark energy. Until one fateful night when the monsters stood up against the humans and fought back for their freedom. Resulting in a violent war between both species for the next decade."
It then shows the carnage between humans and Pokémon fighting each other at various locations. Slowly, victory was favoring the monster's side and more and more humans were killed by their claws. From anyone of all ages, no one was safe as they were all slaughtered no matter how hard humanity fought back. From the afterlife, we see Arceus seeing the world as a reflection through a giant pond of water. The Pokémon was filled with guilt and disappointment that the energy that came with those monsters all those years ago are what caused this catastrophe to unfold.
Narrator: "Soon after, humanity's population decreased from 7.4 billion humans to just 2. Both of these survivors, despite being affected by the dark energy have chosen not to fight back but instead to run and escape the fights happening around them. Arceus, noticing these two decided to keep a close eye on them over the next 10 years until it was time to wipe their memories clean and turn them into Pokémon. A second chance to live a new life without pain, sadness, suffering, and despair. A chance to wield a new identity and blend in with the rest of the Pokémon species and live out the rest of their days peacefully."
10 years have passed and Arceus decides to turn the last survivors into Pokémon using its powers. However, things don't go as planned as the transformation process worked but wiping their memories didn't go smoothly.
Narrator: "One human turned into a Pikachu, but the other turned into a dangerous Pokémon with strength that could be used for evil intent. On top of that, the human with the body of a menacing monster was able to keep the memories of his past life and plotted revenge to destroy Earth. However, the Pikachu nearly lost all of his memories except for one piece of information. This Pikachu remembered that he was a human before, and set out to find answers while befriending many Pokémon along the way. Together he and his newfound friend joined the Guild for freedom, a guild filled with adventurers with the goal of helping others in need."
We then see scenes of this Pikachu and his adventures over the course of several years leading up to the final showdown against the light monster from millions of years ago. The camera then transitions to a small village where the new heroes are cheered by the local residents for saving not just them, but the planet as a whole.
Narrator: "The Pikachu in his lifetime was able to achieve many things, like becoming a legendary hero alongside his companions. Pikachu stopped the other Human who tried to destroy the Earth. And upon slowly recovering from his injuries with the help of the deity Tapus, he was able to reunite with his friends. Together they sealed away the light monster that was brought forth by a group of villains. And along the way, Pikachu slowly regained the memories of his human past. When all was said and done, the Pikachu and Guild for freedom were cheered and celebrated by Pokémons from all across the world for their accomplishments, bravery, and dedication to put their lives on the line for everyone to be able to see a brighter tomorrow."
Then a time skip occurs 700 years into the future as the narrator explains life on Earth changed drastically since the day Pikachu and his companions saved the world. The aforementioned dark energy has started affecting a few Pokémon shortly after the hero's battle with the other human, but not as much as after the events of the final showdown with the light monster. The camera then shows a few locations across the world now being in a medieval setting with towns and villages, even with a new economy. The guild for freedom has gotten more popular and have expanded into 3 large divisions, one stationed in each major continent.
Narrator: "So much time has passed since then, and the world has changed drastically. While the dark energy, now referred to by many as the "spiritual darkness" still lingers with some Pokémon. Society as a whole evolved into a community and the Guild for freedom became a prestigious guild for veteran explorers and newcomers who were inspired by the tales of the past."
We then see small shots of 4 Pokémon in different locations. A timid Rowlet and his brother, an excited Oshawott can be seen staring outside the gates of Guild for Freedom's Sabaku division with their parents, a male Samurott and a female Decidueye. Scene cuts to a thieving Shinx hiding from explorers in an alleyway with a Ursaring after stealing more food from a nearby market place. And finally, we cut to a scene where an inspired Scorbunny is in a library, located in a local town up north from the main city in Sabaku. She's reading up the history of Earth's past and how the heroes from before came to be. The white bunny then closes the book and runs outside with it while making noise, much to the librarian's dismay. Upon leaving the building, the Scorbunny looks up at the sky with a smile from her face. She holds the book close around her arms as she fantasizes about being an explorer and discovering new locations, stopping villains, and saving others as a hero.
Narrator: "What comes next is another story to be told. But no matter what happens next or however this tale ends, there will always be explorers who will take up the mantle of becoming a savior. It's no easy task, but over time, they will become a beacon of hope and inspire future generations of heroes to take the torch that was passed down to them by their predecessors. For they are the next Wanderers!"
