Since a stutter and other speech problem can be made more apparent with anxiety and stress, my speech therapist prescribed me medication for that, and when she explained the side effects being drowsiness, I didn't expect for it to cause me to sleep through two of my alarms.

I ran out of my apartment, no coffee and no breakfast, knowing that I was going to make it to work right on time, which in my book is late. I made it to the first floor and was almost out the door when I collided with someone, falling on my behind.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so s-sorry. I should have been paying attention to where I was going." I apologized.

"Shep?" The person asked. I looked up and saw Spencer standing there.

"Dr. Reid," I said confused, "you live here too?"

"Shep, you can call me Spencer, I've told you this," he said offering me a hand up. "And yeah, I live here."

"Thanks," I said, wiping the dirt off my pants.

"Do you want a ride to work?" He asked, holding the door open for me.

"Sure," I shrugged. "You know by carpooling just twice a week, 1,600 pounds of greenhouse can be kept from the air each year."

"Yeah," he chuckled as we walked to the parking lot. "I did know that."

Right, you're not the smartest in the room anymore Natasha.

.......

"You and pretty boy walked in together this morning." Morgan said, walking up beside me af the coffee machine and brushing my shoulder. "What was that about?"

"Oh, carpool." I answered, almost missing the cup and pouring on my hand. "We apparently live in the same building."

I walked over to the refrigerator and opened the door, squatting down to look for any kind of creamer.

"Oh, Morgan, there you are." Penelope said, running into the copy room. "Did you see?"

"See what, baby girl." He chuckled.

"Spencer and Natasha." She whisper-shouted. "They came in together."

"I'm sure it's just a carpool arrangement or something,"
Morgan said, I could tell in his voice that he was struggling to hide a laugh.

"Nu-uh. There's something going on there, and if there's not, there should be something! Imagine it, their babies would be so smart."

"And yours and Derek's kids would have beautiful tan skin with green eyes," I said popping back up from behind the refrigerator door. "Is there something going on there?"

"Natasha, I- I didn't know you were back there. I'm so sorry, I don't usually gossip." She continued to ramble on and I just laughed, pouring cream and sugar into my coffee.

"Pen, relax. It's funny." I said, walking past her and patting her on her shoulder. "Besides, we just live in the same building so we carpooled."

I walked out of the break room and into the bullpen so that I could catch up on paperwork.

Well I was heading in that direction, but life had other plans. Soon enough, my coffee was down the front of my blazer.

"God damn that's hot," I said, sitting my mug on the nearest desk and looking up. "We've got to stop meeting like this Spencer."

"My god Nat," he said frantically. "I should have been watching where I was going."

"It's fine Spencer," I sighed, taking off my blazer, only to find that my white button up was wet as well.
