I run. I run as fast as my legs can carry me. Fatigue and nerves fall away from me as I pump my body to scramble  up the rock, some might call an island. I run. Faster and faster.

I crash through the door with only one destination in mind. Only one place will satisfy my need. The madness has returned in full.

Up, up, up.

I push my legs beyond the burn. If I had a tomorrow, I have a feeling I wouldn't be able to walk because I'm pretty sure I pull something. But I don't care. I push and push until, finally I make it to the lamp. I crash through the glass do to the catwalk.

I stand there, looking out of what has now been dubbed "the Siren's Lighthouse." A tiny rock that only had one purpose, to house a cursed treasure. And now the treasure was safely on it's way to the US.

I look down at my feet and see a scorch mark from the lightning that went directly through my wife's body and into the metal. I look back up into those beautiful eyes. Longing and need burn through me.

"Are you sure?" she asks.

Is she crazy? There is nothing I want more in the world than to be able to touch my wife again!

She floats out into open air and raises her arms to me.

"Then come to me, my love," she sings sweetly.

The song lulls me into a trance and I pitch myself over the railing.

My stomach drops in the free fall, but it is of release.

Darkness caresses me like a lover. I don't feel the impact, as Elaine has already taken my soul from my body. For a second time, I watch with a strange sort of detachment as my body plunges to the depths of the sea.

In a flash, we are back in our little cottage, just like on our wedding day. Only this time, it's sunny and hopeful.

I'm solid as I slide my arms around my wife's waist. She wraps her arms around my neck and smiles.

"Welcome home," she whispers.

Then my mouth devours hers.

The end.
