Natsu's Childhood

Chapter 1: lonely Dragon Slayer

It's the 7th July in the year 777 somewhere in the woods from Fiore. A little salmon haired boy is slowly waking up from his peacefully sleep he had last night.

"Hey Igneel", Natsu sat himself up and is now sitting upright. He forms his small hands into to fists and rubs his sleeping eyes with them. "I had a weird dream that I flew through the sky like a shooting star. It's strange isn't it ?" He chuckled and put his hands back on his lap.

He stood slowly up and inhaled the fresh morning air. He looked left and right around him but noticed that he never saw that location before. The little boy searched for a certain fire dragon but couldn't find him.

"Uhm Igneel? Where are you?" asked the dragon slayer to no one. "Have you already gone hunting for something to eat?" He believed that this must be the reason why Igneel isn't around him

But why can I no longer smell his smell? asked Natsu to himself.

"Hey Igneel! Where are you!?" He stopped and shoutet the fire dragon slayer through the empty woods, but with no answer from his father. He went further into the woods and hopes that he would find him.

"Igneel that's not funny anymore! where are you!?" He screamed through his throat, but the only thing he could hear were the whistles from the birds.

"I can usually pick up his smell from 2 miles away, but he's nowhere. He must have flown away but he would never fly anywhere without telling me before.What should I do now?" He decided to run, so he could find his father faster

3 hours later

After running and searching for hours through the foreign forest, Natsu stops in front of a cliff overlooking the beautiful crystal blue sea.

The scarlet morning sun blinded his wet eyes. A tear flowed down his face and dropped slowly into the ocean .

"Igneel... W-Where are you... Why can't I find you... Why would you leave me...?" He sat down and stared into the blue sea with no emotions in his face except sadness. He cried for hours and remembered lots of the memories he had with his father.

Out of sudden it began to rain. Natsu turned his face to the cloudy sky and had no thoughts in his head while he stared through the sad clouds which are filled with cold water. Minutes later  he heard his stomach growl and looked now on his belt. He placed slowly his right hand on it and felt how his hunger is getting bigger and bigger.

Maybe I should find something to eat... he whispered quietly in direction his stomach. The young boy stand in slow motion up and moved his head in the opposite direction the sea was. He looked behind him into the sunlit forest which was filled with many different types of trees and plants. decided to go back into the forest to find some food.

He went further into the forest without knowing that he would meet  two people who will soon change his life ...

Okay, this is my first fanfiction that I've ever written and idk what I'm even doing here.

I know there are MANY mistakes in this chapter like grammar or structure, so please comment and tell me where I could have done it better

Also here's why I want to write this fanfic :
I decided to make a fanfiction about Natsu's past without joining Fairy Tail or another guild (but I'm also thinking about that Natsu will join Fairy Tail when he is older).

I became the Idea of writing this fanfiction since I read the 100 years quest Manga.

So I highly recommend you to read it until the last chapter that came last week out cuz there'll be huge spoilers in the next chapter and the whole book.
