SCARLETT MONROE'S P.O.V
December 22, 2011
" You have a visitor. " The guard said in her baritone voice in quite a rude manner may I say so.
" Well, that's new! " I said in the most monotone voice I could muster and get out of bed walking to the bars that were now unlocked.
" Yeah, yeah just keep walking. "
I didn't say anything else not because I was scared of her I could easily take her done with one hand but because I don't like to talk that much. After a little more walking we reached a room with only a metal table and 2 metal chairs opposite one another the guard handcuffed me to the table. A woman about my age walked in she had blonde shoulder-length hair, rose pouty lips, and blue eyes the guard walked out of the room after saying something to the woman that I didn't quite catch the woman walked over and sat opposite me.
" Who are you? " I asked with curiosity.
" That doesn't matter right now what does though is that I am getting you out of here. " she said and I put on my best poker face and let's just say I am pretty good at poker
" And the price of that is? " Cause everything always comes with a price.
" Well, you my friend are going to join a group." she said with an excitement that creeped me out
" And why would I do that? "
" Well, because Scarlett you are something that I want you are smart, skilled and I know everything about you. I know that you are in a gang, that your sister killed her self after your parent's death I am truly sorry about that " I actually think I heard a tinge of emotion in her voice " But should I really go on cause I can if you want me to. "
" Fine but just so you know I am doing this only because I wanna get out of here. "
" Sure you do. " She said sarcastically.
" How are you gonna get me out of here? "
" Tonight, you'll see. " She said with a creepy smile and got out of the room. It seemed like the night wouldn't come any sooner that day. But it was finally night time I waited in my cell patiently reading a book to not seem suspicious a guard came and when I looked up I saw the woman from earlier. I didn't say anything
" Ok so I am gonna cuff you so it won't seem suspicious, the cameras are shut down, for the time being, we will go to the back where the laundry leaves the building and all the other things have been taken care of nothing to worry about. " She said in a voice you use to explain things to kids but instead of saying anything I just answered with the second thing concerning me.
" Don't lock them. "
She didn't say anything and just did it.
Why was it so easy to get out of there? If I knew that I would have gotten out of there long ago, we were now at the borders of the state we were just looking at each other from a distance she leaning on a black car that was there when we got there and I was sitting on the van. She came forward and gave me an envelope then she walked back to the car and right before she got in
" Don't be late. " She said and with one last creepy smile she was zooming out the highway. I look at the envelope in my hands and open it to see a passport a plane ticket and an address scribbled down on a piece of paper. That clever bitch! Dang it I think I actually don't hate her.
