A man with a shock of black hair was sitting in a tree, waiting. There was a flash of light, and he jumped down in front of the woman who had just appeared. "Hannah," he said.

"Twigs," the woman responded. "Good to see you."

Twigs held her gaze. "It doesn't sound like you're very happy to see me," he said.

Hannah shrugged, her blond, shoulder length hair bouncing a bit. "You're not the easiest person to talk to," she began.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Twigs demanded.

Hannah raised an eyebrow. "Anyways," she said, "we have important things to discuss."

"I know," Twigs responded.

"The one in the prophecy will receive her powers earlier than most," Hannah said.

"And she'll get dreams that hint to her about it," Twigs finished. "But isn't that-"

Hannah held up her hand. "Nothing is ever too easy," she replied.

Twigs looked at her skeptically. "Really? Because I remember-"

"Not the point, Twigs!" Hannah snapped.

"Ok, ok," Twigs replied. "Geez, Hannah."

Hannah rolled her eyes. "Don"t forget," she said.

"Why would I forget?" Twigs demanded.

Hannah just raised both her hands and, in another flash of light, disappeared.
