Stain as vice

AN: This & the next one are the same story told from two different peoples perspectives

To my golden age I've said goodbye

The good never get the chance to die

You never slip my mind so instead you'll slip away

Too gentle- more like rip- this hunger never fades

Was I the hero breaking you free from a chain?

Or have I cost you a soul free of bondage and pain?

Can't find the eye of my tempest 'cause nobody knows

How far an absentee father's love goes

Will the stain of my hands stick to your skin or could you walk right through the doors?

For the sake of you I hope it's all meaningless

I pray to God that God doesn't exist

Love isn't selfish but I'll never repent

The goodness in the world will always be spent

A coin wrested from one hand to another

Sweet for a moment, then searing forever

Was there something I could've done? Shoved myself back into the repose of the riptide instead of thrashing to the splintering dock?

I didn't mean to bring down the whole ship
