Harry spotted that Catherine wasn't with her friends. Pansy and Blaise were glancing around for her because Dumbledore's speech was about to start. Harry figured she was going somewhere to be alone; he would go and find her after dinner.

Catherine sat curled up in a ball with her back pressed against the stone of the Astronomy Tower. Her hands still clenched the book against her chest. Finally, she decided to open the first page.

My dearest Catherine,

If you are reading this, either we are married or something has happened to me. I entrusted that Hannah Abbott would give this to you in the event of something happening to me during the Third Task (or at our engagement celebration). I don't know why but the Third Task was the scariest for me. I think it was because you weren't close enough to me.

(If it is because we are married, then please do not hit me for the first paragraph.)

However, if something has happened, I want you to know that some of my happiest memories I have during my time at Hogwarts are ones with you in it. Please, watch each picture to truly understand this.

(Also, this was extremely hard to make; I had to go to Dumbledore for help. I had no idea how to extract memories from the past. He showed me. No worries, but you better appreciate it.)

This is how you can hold on to me. This is how we can still have our forever.

With all my love,

Your Cedric

Catherine couldn't help the few tears that fell onto the page. She carefully opened the first page. It was a picture of the first time he saw her in first year. She was smirking and flipping her hair back as she looked over at some boy.

The next picture underneath it was from her third year. Catherine was wearing a pair of white stockings, a red velvet dress, her coat, and a pair of ridiculously fluffy white earmuffs. It was her first Hogsmeade trip. In the picture, she was throwing a butter beer into Ron Weasley's face.

The next page had a picture of her leaving for the summer holiday that unbeknownst her she would spend at Cedric's house. She remembered this moment; it had been when she told Pansy that Cedric Diggory was not as good-looking as Pansy thought. Catherine was rolling her eyes and throwing back her hair in annoyance.

The picture under that was of Catherine entering Cedric's house for the first time. She was smiling her blinding smile and simpering into the "camera," which was Cedric's eyes.

Catherine slammed the book shut, not wanting to relive anymore for the time being. She closed her eyes and imagined him waiting for her in the Great Hall. Catherine imagined running in there and jumping into his arms.

Catherine was finally ready. She pulled the book into her chest and went back to the Great Hall. Dumbledore had just finished his speech, and the feast had begun. She slid into a seat next to Pansy.

"Catherine, you missed it! They have some old bag from the Ministry coming to teach us Defense Against the Dark Arts. She seems awful," Crabbe said.

Goyle nodded, "Yeah, she seems like a pink nightmare."

"Well, father says that we should just get along with her so that we don't get targeted like Potter."

Blaise watched Catherine's face at the mention of Lucius. She put down the roll she was going to eat and instead took a sip of her pumpkin juice.

"Well, then, I guess we can just pretend around her like we do whenever we see Dumbledore. It'll be easy," she shrugged noncommittally.

Pansy nodded, "Yes, we would have done that anyway, regardless of what your dad says."
