Ch. 8- Ah shit.

A few weeks later, Hyde and I are in his room, ya know, hanging out per usual. Hyde sometimes brings the record player into his room when it's quiet and wants to listen to his favorite vinyl's and nap. Today, he was playing Fleetwood Mac. I was surprised he wasn't playing Zep'.

I was hovering over Hyde, he had his hands on my hips and we were kissing softly. Ever since the incident with the Hub, he and I have been very tender and closer. I already thought we were close but it made us both realize how much we actually like each other since we both verbalized that we both really like each other.

I hear a small door slam in the living space of the basement. I sit up and detach myself from Hyde, alerted, ear's perked trying to figure out who just walked in. I've become sort of a detective with this group because of how unique they all are, they're all really easy to dissect. They all walk in the back door, that leads to the couch, in a unique way. Jackie walks in and slams it really loud, sometimes announcing quite noisily she's there. Donna opens it softly and closes it with a small thud, not nearly as loud as Jackie. Fez twists the doorknob the opposite way than the rest of us do so it makes a squeak and a creak noise, he closes it as lightly as Donna does. And Kelso busts in every single time and slams it always. I haven't been able to notice Hyde's since he doesn't walk through those doors as much as the rest of us.

Hyde pulls me back in smiling "Hey, it's fine." He says looking deep into my eyes trying to pull me back into our groove. He takes off his sunglasses when we hang out, I can see his nice green eyes when it's not being covered by the pink tint.

I couldn't figure out who had walked in so I gave up and caved back into Hyde. I had finally melted into his body, quickly forgetting the commotion out in the living space. That was soon interrupted with a Kelso-gasp from the doorway.

Hyde and I both stop and stare at each other as if looking at the other like "did you make that noise?" we quickly realized that wasn't us and we shoot our heads up to see Kelso AND Fez, wide eyed and confused. Why they decided to walk in without a heads up when they never go into Hyde's room? I couldn't tell you.

"Fuck, this has GOT to stop happening." I think to myself in pain.

I roll off Hyde and sit on the bed, I'm not very nervous since I already know about Kelso and Fez. Hell, they walked in on us the exact same way I walked in on them.

"Ironic."

Hyde looked terrified though. He quickly put on his glasses as if he could see better with his non-prescription sunglasses.

Kelso lets out this belch-y laugh. I think more surprised than confused.

"You too?" Fez says pointing between the two of us. He had this blank expression, it was like the wheels were turning but the cobwebs were still on them.

I nod at him. Hyde looks back at me very puzzled. He was gonna say something and I cut him off before he got a chance to ask. "Yep, them too." I say with a tight, uncomfortable smile.

"No fucking way." Hyde says flipping back to the two idiots standing in the door way. Kelso's face drops, realizing we're turning it back on them again. He stands up straighter trying to show his macho side.

Hyde laughs at the situation. I lightly tap his arm trying to get him to shut up. I don't know why I was embarrassed. I walked in on everyone else, I guess it makes sense I was next.

"Well," he says putting his arm around my shoulders and sighing "cat's out of the bag." He says smiling at me and then looking at Kelso and Fez. The two of them look at each other not sure what to do. Kelso puts his hands in his back pockets of his jeans. Fez uncomfortably folds his arms.

"We haven't told anyone yet." I say to them

"Neither have we." Kelso says still really uncomfortable. They look at each other again and decide to walk out back to the couch and out of Hyde's room.

Hyde and I watch them leave and my shoulder's hunch suddenly relaxed, like I was holding in my gut for a picture. Hyde turns to me and smiles with a big 'ol grin. "Now that they're gooonee.." He says leaning in for a kiss as if implying that we can go right back to where we were before the dumbasses arrived.

"No.." I say pushing his lips away. I was kind of giggling. "They're here so we need to go out there."

He sighs and takes his arm away from my shoulders "Fine." He stands up strained.

We leave Hyde's cold room and sit in our usual spots as usual. Kelso and Fez were sitting on the couch watching TV. Kelso's arm was resting on the back of the couch behind Fez. It was a simple, nonchalant gesture of showing he cared for and was protecting Fez without even touching him.

Before Hyde sat down, he grabbed a soda from the cooler. He turned around and held up one and looked at me, hoisting the root beer in the air he motioned you want one? I nod and he lightly tosses one to me. We hear footsteps walking down the stairs and I look back and see Donna and Jackie walking down the stairs.

"Hey." Hyde says turning around to go sit in his little comfy chair.

"Hey." Donna replies with a big smile. Jackie was also smiling but trying to conceal it. They must've also been "hanging out".

I'm the only one who knows about them now. And they're the only ones who don't know about us guys.

"Ironic." I think once again.

Fez scoots in closer to Kelso to give room for Donna to sit down on the couch. Kelso didn't move his arm from behind the couch so now they were touching. Kelso looked down at Fez and blushed slightly, flustered he looks away trying to focus on the TV. Fez had a half smile, I could tell he really liked sitting like that with Kelso.

I was so jealous. Of course, Hyde has to sit on the chair that barely lets you sit one buttcheek on the seat let alone having two people sit on the chair. Hyde does have a small butt.

"Eheheh."

Jackie plopped herself on the cooler, swinging her legs looking really giddy. I wanted to ask them what was up but everyone was here so I didn't want to out them.

I was kind of upset that Hyde was so non-panicked about it, like he thought it was a game. He didn't say much but he didn't make a big deal about it either. I was expecting something different, I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting. I guess more of a coming-out? That felt so sudden and un-planned and I don't think I wanted that.

"Fuck."
