Ari's POV
BEEP BEEP
Ugh. The dreaded Monday. I gotta say,Mondays are not my favorite days. Just the whole "get up at 6:00,brush my hair, brush my teeth, get dressed"kinda thing goin on is not one of my favorite stuff. I'd much rather just stay home the whole day, hang out with one if my two favorite friends Ben and Jerry ice cream, and watch chick flick movies. My life is so productive right? I put on my signature clothing. You know, the usual, T-shirt and jeans. Yea,it was so expensive. It was like,7:00 dollars in total. I'm so glam, its a crime. I'm not one to wear makeup. I think that people are beautiful just the way they are and they shouldn't try to mask their beauty. Besides ,I don't get that much zits, anyway. oh no, gotta hurry up. I got five minutes to brush my teeth, put my shoes on,make my lunch, and eat breakfast....oh, just screw it I'm gonna be late anyways. I'll just eat lunch at school, eat a granola bar and call it breakfast, put on some slip on shoes, and who really cares about brushing your teeth? I mean no one does it anyway! Well, I guess this is as good as it's gonna get.

When I got to school, I was 20 minutes late because I missed the bus,and did I tell you that the school is 15 blocks away? In most cases,I would've gotten there in 40minutes tops, but I had to literally zoom to get to school on time even though I knew I wouldn't ,but a girl could try, right? I specifically told mom to buy a house close to school, but did she listen to me? No, she didn't because apparently, she wants me to have a "good exercise to get the day started." Good exercise my butt. I don't even know how Olympic runners do it. I can barely withstand one mile, nevermind 40,or more. To be on the optimistic side, at least I got to miss part of math! You see, I hate math with a very strong passion. Like,if I had a choice to either go to hell and back,or do math,I would choose hell. Ugh. I just hope this day is over with soon.

"Well, isnt it Amazing Mason!",I said to my best friend as I hugged him."Well, isnt it Are Ya Ari!",he said to me as he hugged me back.Mason is my best friend in the whole world. He's been through everything with me. He's been through thick and thin, rough times and smooth times. When I say everything, I mean everything. I remember the first day we met like it was yesterday. It was in the first grade. It was on the playground and some boys were picking on me just because I liked to read.He saw me crying, and asked me what's wrong.once I told him,he went up to those boys and each gave them a blow to their nose. And from that day on, we've been best friends ever since. But it's not like he's my only friend. Far from it.I have a lot of girl besties. In fact,a lot of them ship Mason and me. They call me and him"Marison"saying that were perfect for eachother and that were such a cute couple, but I don't see it.I couldn't like him, could I?Hmm. It's too early for that. I'll try again later.
"Hey,after school,I have to tell you something.",he said.
Hmm. I wonder what that could be.
"What is it?What is it?What is it?Tell me!Tell me!Tell me!",I said,urging him on to tell me.
"Okay.okay.okay.I'll tell you."he slides his arm behind his neck ,scratching it. The pure sure fire sign of uncomfortableness in guys."Do you mind if you wanted to go out on a date with me?"
My face immediately turned blank.I was in shock.I mean, I couldn't believe it.Did there just happen to be another Ari right next to me and he just been diagnosed with Lazy Eye and was actually looking at her instead of me?'cause that's what it seems like.
"You...want to go on a date...with...me?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure?"
"Is it really that shocking?"A look of sadness and dissapointment was spread all across his face.
"No!I didn't mean it like that at all!Its just, you know,I haven't really been asked out in a long time and I just thought--"I trailed off.
He started to look around, avoiding my eye.
"Hey,look"I suddenly gave him a huge bear hug."I would love to go on a date with you. What time is it?"
His eyes lit up."Saturday.At 10:00.I want you to see the fireworks at the fair."
"Saturday it is then."
