A few days after they arrived at Andromeda's, Hermione woke up alone. She was slightly confused by the lack of Draco in her bed, having shared a bed with him for months now, and was struggling to wrap her half asleep, disorientated mind around where she was and where Draco could be. It wasn't until she heard Teddy on the other side of the door that she remembered they were at Andromeda's and realised Draco was probably just downstairs having breakfast with his mother.

Hermione rolled out of bed, tied her hair away from her face, and threw one of Draco's jumper on over her pyjamas. She opened the door, picked Teddy up, and headed downstairs. Teddy was repeating the word "mine" all the way down, but when they saw the empty kitchen he asked for Draco.

'I don't know where he is either.' Hermione mumbled.

She checked the living room first, finding it empty, before going back into the kitchen to put the kettle on. She found the note beside the kettle.

Hermione,

I know you were up late reading (did I not tell you to take it easy over break?) so I left you to sleep. Mother and I have gone to London for the morning. Rest, relax, and I will see you soon.

Draco

'I'm sorry, Hermione.' Andromeda said as she came through the front door. 'I thought I could get away with being in the garden for five minutes before Teddy woke up.'

'Not to worry.' Hermione said, making them both a cup of tea. 'I did wonder where you had all gone when I saw Draco's note.'

Andromeda laughed. 'I didn't mean for you to think we'd abandoned you with Teddy for the morning.'

'Do you know what Draco is doing in London?' Hermione asked as she handed Andromeda the mug of tea.

'Not a clue.' Andromeda replied, a little too quickly. 'You look tired, Hermione. Are you sleeping well?'

'Oh, yes. I was studying last night and I lost track of time.' Hermione said, an embarrassed smile on her face.

'Why don't you go back to bed for a while? I'll take Teddy for a walk so you can have some peace and quiet.'

'It's really no trouble.' Hermione said, not wanting to put Andromeda out.

'I insist.' She said, taking Teddy and heading for the staircase to get him dressed. 'You're always watching him, I'll get him out of your hair for an hour.'

Without any more protest from Hermione, Andromeda had disappeared up the stairs, and Hermione was alone again. She made her way into the living room, picked up the book she was reading last night, and continued where she had left off. Ten minutes later Andromeda came back downstairs and said goodbye with a smile, leaving Hermione to get lost in her book for half an hour.

She ended up finishing it in that time so made the most of being alone in the house and ran herself a bath.

She didn't hear anyone come in the front door, so when the door to the bathroom opened she gasped.

'It's only me.' Draco said, smiling down at her.

'Draco!' Hermione cried as she covered her bare chest. 'What are you doing?'

'Mother and I came back early and bumped into Dromeda and Teddy. Mother joined them in the village for tea. It's just us two in the house.' Draco said as he began to take off his clothes.

'I repeat, what are you doing?' Hermione asked as he slipped his trousers off.

'Getting in the bath with you.' He smirked.

Hermione almost told him to go away but, when she saw him stood in front of her naked, she couldn't say no. She moved forwards so that he could get in behind her and then rest her head on his chest.

'What were you doing in London?' Hermione asked after a few minutes.

'We had to sort something out at Gringotts.' Draco said, running his fingers up and down her sides. 'Nothing exciting.'

'You should have told me, there's a few books that I've been needing to get, I would've come with you.' Hermione said, closing her eyes at the feeling of Draco's fingers on her skin.

'I'll take you to Diagon Alley tomorrow if you want?' Draco mumbled, kissing the exposed skin of her neck.

'You've just been, we'll go a different time. It's nothing important that I wanted to get.' Hermione replied, running her hands down Draco's thighs.

'If you change your mind, let me know.' Draco whispered as he turned her head to kiss her. Hermione let out a small moan as Draco's hands travelled up her body to cup her breasts beneath the bubbles and he opened his mouth to deepen the kiss, which Hermione reciprocated.

Draco pulled back, opening his eyes to study Hermione's face, watching as beads of water dripped from her hair down her nose. He smiled, rubbing his thumb across her cheek.

'Why are you staring at me like that?' Hermione whispered.

'I'm just remembering everything about you.' Draco replied, kissing her lips.

'You say that like you're never going to see me again.' Hermione muttered.

'Definitely not the case.' Draco smirked, pulling her out of the bath and wrapping a towel around her and then himself.

'It better not be.' She said, letting the water out of the bath and making her way to the bedroom. Draco followed, making sure to bring his clothes with him so that he could fold and place them carefully back in his trunk.

When he turned around, he noticed that Hermione was watching him with a smirk.

'What?' He asked, moving closer to her.

'Nothing.' She said, but her eyes met his and he could see a certain glint in her eye.

He didn't need to say anything else as she unwrapped the towel from her body and pulled him close.
