Camerella's POV:
This has all turned out so great! Kam is back to the way he was before I told him everything. The big game is today. It's the state championship. Our boys have come a long way from where they used to be. Last season, we didn't even win a game. I'm really worried about Kamden still. His whole career lies in this one game, his fate dependant upon a sport. With all that he's been through lately, I'm worried that the pressure might get to him and mess him up. Souts from all over the country are coming to watch him play. My thoughts abruptly put to a halt by my phone. Once it lit up, I knew it was Kamden.
"Good morning sweetie! I hope you have a wonderful day!" Kamden said.
"Morning! Are you ready for today? I don't want you to stress over this." I replied.
"Don't worry I'm pumped for today! I'm just a little nervous though. I want to do good. But I know that if you are there for support in the stands, I'll be just fine. Can I count on you to be there?"
"Wouldn't miss it for anything in the world! I love you and I'll see you at school! <3"
"I love you more and more everyday. See you at school beautiful! <3

Kamden's POV:The bell rang and that meant it was time to leave to the locker rooms to get ready. I can't quite explain my feelings at this point. I am so nervous. Everyone is anticipating this game and I'm the one that's supposed to lead the team. I'm the one that's supposed to lead the team to victory, to win the first state championship. I am the one with all the pressure.
I walk to the locker room alone to get dressed. All of a sudden, I hear a voice. The voice is deep. It's unrecognizable. "I know the truth. I know you killed her brother. You loved her, but you were to desperate for her attention that you didn't realize you being a jerk to her."
The lights in the locker room dimmed. My pace of my breath quickened. No one was supposed to know that. "What are you talking about? Who are you?" I said harshly almost yelling at the unknown person.
Silence filled the room. "Don't try to hide it Kamden. You wanted her to love you. You wanted to know that she loved you, so you put her to the test. You pushed it too far! You begged for her attention! Well, did you get her attention?! Kamden you broke her heart!" The stranger yelled in anger.
"It wasn't for attention! I broke up with her because everyday we constantly fought! Everyday we raised our voices at each other! I broke up with her because I didn't want to hurt her any longer! I never meant any of the words I said when we fought! You know nothing!" Tears stung as they rolled down my cheeks. Anger coursed throughout my body, my hate building for this person.
"You'll regret this and everything you've done Kamden. She was mine! You stole her from me and you broke her heart! I know the truth, and I'm not afraid to use it! Watch your back Gillis."
A door slammed and the stranger was gone. My mind was left extremely confused and worried. What did they mean? I was worried not only for me but for Camerella.

Camerella's POV:
I haven't heard from Kamden in a while. He's probably getting focused on the game. I looked at my phone. Two minutes until game time.*Good luck babe!* I texted him, but I knew he wouldn't see it.
It was time for kick off. Everyone ran on the field. I saw Kamden run in, and I waved at him. He looked up at me and then put his head down and ran faster. What was that for?
It was the start of the fourth quarter already. It seemed as if the game was flying by. We were winning 21-14. Kamden had played great! I had a good feeling he would get the scholarship he wanted. But just as soon as I thought that, things went wrong. The next play Kamden was down on the ground. Everyone in the stands were on their feet gasping. I jumped over the stands and ran towards him. Kamden was holding his left leg and crying out in pain. I couldn't bear to see it. Tears came and I knew what this meant for him. His career went down the drain in one play. His leg was fully broken in two and the disfigurement of his leg resembled that of a mutated character in a movie. He was carted off of the field and into an ambulance. I rode with him and held his hand telling him that everything would be okay. This was a devastating blow to his career. I kissed him on the cheek and carefully hugged him. "You'll be okay sweetie, I promise. I've called your mom and she's meeting us at the hospital. I love you. This doesn't mean it's over. Please don't think that." I say trying to comfort him.
"Make it stop hurting please. That's all I ask. I love you. I just want to protect you, you have to stay with me so I can keep you safe." Kamden whispered before he was knocked out by the medicine that the paramedics gave him to stop his pain temporarily.
What did he mean "protect me and keep me safe?"
