This was it. It was over. Isabella had waited her whole life for this relationship, and it was gone in the blink of an eye. She felt a hot tear stream down her cheek, and it triggered more tears. Of course this happened to her. Everything bad seemed to happen to her. Why did life think it was so good to tease her and then rip away everything she knew and loved?
She walked slowly across the street to her car, trying her best not to look back at the boy she had loved for the longest time. It was too much for her to bear, and she could still feel his gaze stuck on her.
Phineas was tired. He was tired of being let down. Tired of life getting in the way. He frowned sadly, thinking of the moments they had spent together.
He couldn't help but look at the girl he was going to let go of. He didn't want to let go of her, but he knew he couldn't live with himself if he tried to hold on and then end up hurting both of them even more.
Earlier that morning, Phineas woke up, ready to start the day. He was excited and happy for the adventures that lay ahead. He ran downstairs, grinning from ear to ear. Just months ago, he and Isabella had finally gotten together. It still made him smile at how it happened. It was completely out of the blue. He remembered the way his heart skipped when she told him that she loved him. He was shocked at first, but then once he realized that that's how he felt this whole time, he was ecstatic at the idea of being Isabella's boyfriend.
"I'm going to get the mail, mom!" he called upstairs, and ran out the door to the mailbox, where he saw Izzy coincidentally getting the mail at the same time. He ran over to her, picked her up, spun her around, and kissed her.
"I missed you!" she giggled.
"I missed you more!" he smiled, put her down, and rested his forehead against hers while wrapping his arms around her waist. The warmth of her body was everything he could ever dream of in that moment.
"You know, when we go to college, we'll see a lot more of each other." she smirked, kissing him on the neck.
He closed his eyes, savoring the moment, along with the scent of coconut emanating from her hair. "Mhm..." he said, burying his face in her hair.
She pulled away and looked in his deep blue eyes, falling deeper by the second. "Speaking of college, are you gonna help me pack?" she blushed, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Hmm, let me check my schedule... yeah I think I can fit you in!" he winked, and kissed her again.
She kissed back, not wanting this moment to end. This was the best part of everyday, and not something that she thought would end up happening back when she was 10, anything even remotely like this was in PhineasLand. She giggled at the thought.
"What are you laughing at?" he chuckled, moving his arm up her side to run his fingers through her soft, midnight black hair.
"Nothing... just childhood." she blushed, looking back up at him.
"What about it?" he asked, staring deep into her eyes. She was so beautiful, and he wondered how he didn't see it before. He was mesmerized by her soft, blue eyes. He wanted to stay here forever.
"Well, remember how I told you about PhineasLand?" she asked, blushing red.
He smirked. "Yes. Yes I do."
"Well, I just... I never thought that this could really happen in real life. I kinda just thought it was always going to be a fever dream." she smiled at him.
"You don't even have to worry about that anymore. I'm here, and I won't leave you." he said, unaware of the events that would take place.
"Phineas Flynn... I love you." she said, a small smile spreading across her face as she let her feelings out.
