Emma's Halloween Slip-Up

Okay guys! Finally got some time to sit down and write, so here's my Ferbma oneshot for Halloween, and I'll be writing the Phinabella one either right after this or sometime tomorrow! Hope you enjoy! 

PS - in this oneshot, our characters are 11 and Emma has been in town since the beginning of the school year after the summer that the show takes place in!

'Today's the day! It's my favorite holiday of the year, and I get to spend it with my best friends! Ferb's gonna die laughing when he sees my costume!' Emma thought to herself with a smile as she got up. She rushed to her computer to check her messages, and, to her surprise, there were quite a few. 

The first message she checked was from her best friend, Isabella. 

Isabella: hey, Emma happy halloween! you ready for our special costumes tonight?

Emma: happy halloween! of course I'm ready, they're the best costumes EVER!

She grinned and exited from the text string, and looked at the second text. It was Ferb! Emma and Ferb had become the closest friends since she had moved, and it all started with talking about a book that they both loved. However, Emma saw Ferb in a different way, but she wasn't exactly sure how to tell him that, so she brushed it off and tried convincing herself that she didn't like him more than a friend. 

Ferb: hey Ems! Happy halloween!

She giggled and typed a reply into the chat box. 

Emma: Happy Halloween!!! I would talk more, but I'm gonna get dressed and I'll be at your house in like 10 minutes. Love you!

She accidentally sent the message without thinking, and immediately panicked. 'Did you REALLY say love you to your best friend?! What's wrong with you?' Emma told herself and slapped her palm to her head. Her face turned as red as Phineas' hair when it showed 'seen'. 

She waited patiently for a response, trying to distract herself with getting dressed and thinking about her amazing costume, but couldn't seem to take her mind off of her rookie mistake.

Ferb stared at the computer screen in silence. Not his usual silence, but quite literally speechlessness. Did she really just tell him she loved him? Maybe it was an accident. What is he even supposed to say to that? He couldn't just leave her on seen, that was rude. 

"BOO!" a loud voice came from the closet, and a huge mechanical ghost popped out from the closet. Ferb jumped and yelped, looking for the source of this trickery. His brother popped out from the other side of the room. 

"What's wrong, Ferb? You look like you just saw a ghost!" Phineas snickered, and then broke out into laughter, hugging his sides and accidentally snorting, causing the both of them to laugh even harder. He forgot about the predicament for a minute before his brain decided to ruin the moment. 

"Phineas, I need help..." Ferb mumbled, and his brother wiped away his tears of laughter and walked up behind his brother. 

"Did- did she just say she loved you?" Phineas asked, mouth agape. 

"Yes... yes she did... maybe it was just an accident." Ferb said under his breath.

Emma waited by the computer screen waiting for a response for a few minutes before deciding that it would be better to just explain in person. Maybe this was the sign that she finally needed to confess her feelings. 

She slipped on her usual blue, teal, and white striped sundress and added a huge blue bow just like Isabella's so they could match. The next thing she did was slip on the friendship bracelet that Ferb had gotten her a few weeks ago for her birthday. She looked at the little thing, and smiled to herself.
