Chapter 14

Carly and Danny are almost officially moved to Nashville and they can't be more excited about it.

Reba was over at Carly's house helping her unpack."Hey do you want some water?" Carly asked."Sure." Reba replied.Reba followed Carly into the kitchen.She tried to reach for a glass but her stomach was in the way."She gets in the way off everything!" Carly said sadly. "It's okay, I got it." Reba said. "Thanks mom" she said. "No problem." She smiled reaching up to get the glass. "Are you excited about becoming a grandma?" Carly asks."Oh yes!" Reba replied excitedly."Do you to have a name yet?" Reba asks."I was thinking about Emily?" Carly answered looking down and rubbing her stomach. "When are you due?" Reba asked. "Your birthday." Carly laughed."Seriously!" Reba asked all excited. "Yes!" Carly exclaimed. "I can't wait to meet her." Reba said. "Me either!" Carly said excitedly." And I'm really scared, but I don't have flashbacks anymore so I guess it just a first time mom thing." She added on. "Do you remember when I was pregnant with Garret? Reba asked. "Ohh yea." Carly said putting emphasis on the word 'oh'. "What's that supposed to mean?" She asked."I was there when you have birth." Carly said. "I'm still so proud of you for that" Reba said "I'm still grossed out." Carly replied laughing. "If your gonna be a mama, that is the thing that will gross you least" Reba told her. Carly grimaced and looked at her stomach. "Thanks mom." She said sarcastically. "Your welcome" she stated proudly. Carly shook her head and laughed. "Speaking of Garret, where is he?" Carly asked. "He's with Narvel, he's still not a hundred percent sure on what's going on." She replied. "I don't expect him too" Carly stated. "Yea..." Reba said."What" Carly asked. "He's young, I just want to protect him from the details of the past. He knows you love him, he's just doesn't know what you did." Reba said."He doesn't need to know yet stuff yet" Carly said. "I know." Reba said. "And this one doesn't either." Reba added on rubbing Carly's belly. "She won't know for a long time" Carly added"I don't plan on telling either one of them." "I agree with that" Reba said .Carly nodded her head.

"She kickin" Reba said moving her hand to different parts of Carly's belly. "That's cute." reba replied. "Yea, I haven't gotten any sleep for the past two nights." Carly replied. "Any suggestions?" Carly asked. "For what?" Reba asked confused."The sleep." Carly laughed."Drink something soothing like tea, she might claim down" She suggested."I just might try that." Carly said.

"Can I talk to her?" Reba asked. "Uh, sure." Carly said puzzled. Reba knelt down and said "Hi baby it's grandma. Granddad, Uncle Shelby, Uncle Garret and I can't wait to meet you. I love you so much." And kissed the belly. Carly laughed and hugged her mother tightly. "I love you mommy." "I love you too baby" Reba said and kissed her cheek.

"Do you wanna do something today?" Carly asked. "Sure" Reba replied. "What do you want to do?" Carly asked. "What ever you want to do" she answered."Shopping for baby clothes, and them watch a movie at home?" She asked."Sounds perfect to me" Reba said."yay!" Carly replied. "Let me just grab my purse then I'm ready " reba said."Alright." Carly told her.

On the way to the store Reba gets a call from Narvel. "Hello?" She answered. "Hey babe, whatcha doing" He asked."I'm going shopping with Carly." Reba replied. "Where, maybe Garret and I could meet up with you too"He said. "I think that would be okay." Reba told him. "Alright see you later babe" he said."Were going shopping for baby clothes downtown by the way." She said. "Great" he said sarcastically."Hey, this is our first grandchild." She whined. "Besides river." He responded. "This is Carly's first baby" She sassed. "Fine." He sassed back. "See you later" Reba said."Bye." He replied. "The boys are going to meet up with us" Reba told Carly. "Even better." Carly said.

They pulled in the parking lot and got out of the car.Carly waddled towards the baby store with Reba.Reba just laughed at her daughter."You were like this once." Carly scolded. "And you laughed at me" She sassed."Well..." She didn't have a valid argument."Fine, you win this one" Carly said through her teeth.Reba laughed and patted her daughters back.
