*Arthur's POV*
It was another brutally frigid December evening as I made my way into my car. I slid the key into the ignition, and heard the engine stutter to life with a cough. I furrowed my brow.
"Bloody hell..." I muttered to myself. "I really need to get a newer model."
I sighed loudly, stepping on the gas pedal. I was headed to a small, desolate, and very much remote town a ways off of Paris. "Francis is damned lucky that I'm in a good mood today." I laughed to myself. "Who calls a meeting this time of day anyways?" I wondered out loud. Shrugging off the question, I turned my focus to driving.
After what seemed like hours of going down back-roads and dirt tracks, I had finally entered rural France. I looked ahead to see a long winding path leading up a plateau. "This must be it." I said confidently. The rain was violent as I descended up the mountain. I was turning a corner when a flash of light blinded me. I covered my eyes and then everything went black.
