Meanwhile, the Mystery Machine had just pulled up outside the manor.
Inside, the Hound and Belladonna came up to the mirror to open the gateway to the Netherworld.
"It is time" Belladonna grinned darkly.
"Open the portal!" The Hound commanded. "Release the spirits of the Netherworld!"
The mirror started rumbling and maniacal laughter was heard before millions of evil spirits flooded out of the mirror, and began wrecking havoc on Fernfield.
The gang was just getting out of the Mystery Machine when Daphne was the first to spot the ghostly spirits and pointed out to the others. "Look!"
"Oh, no!" Joseph gasped. "They've opened the portal!"
"Well that's just our luck!" Spinelli deadpanned.
"Zoinks! It's look like they're having their own little party!" Shaggy commented about the evil spirits.
"We're too late!" Mikey frowned.
"Not yet!" Velma spoke, holding onto Warwick's spell book. "Dawn hasn't come, so there's still a chance"
"She's right," Kali added to her friends with determination. "We can't give up now"
"Have faith, young ones" Joseph told the kids. "We can still stop it"
"Yeah" The Recess gang nodded, although they were still a little scared as the gang headed up towards the manor.
Back at the Spooky Brew Ha-Ha~
The party was still going on, except that Walter and Jane feared that something wasn't right after their daughter had run out on them like that. The twins were now at the party with their parents.
"Do you think Kali will be alright?" Ann asked her parents, a little worried about her sister.
"Ah, she'll be fine, seeing how that girl's not afraid of anything" Albert appeared and was sulking on how he had failed to scare anyone and was at the point of giving up.
"Albert, what are you doing here?" Jane asked. "Don't you have surveillance duty in the time realm?"
"I snuck into the council's Halloween party, cause everybody knows we throw way better parties then you mortals" Albert began explaining. "Until Bert-Bert caught me and I lost a bet to her and now I'm stuck here for the rest of the night..."
The over 900 year old time sorcerer then took a handful of candy from a nearby bowl at the table and stuffed it in his mouth. "You know, this stuff ain't half bad I'll admit. But when you get to the future 2323, you gotta try their candy Meth. It's Heavenly" He muffled, while the Harpercop family just gave him weird looks.
"You know if you want something scary, have you seen the costumes from 75 years ago?" Brock advised.
"Yeah, well, for your information I flunked Time Sorcerer school... 2,047 times..." Albert mentioned a bit embarrassingly.
Just then, Casper appeared to the gang, looking pretty frantic at that.
"Guys, I don't know what's happening but the ghost realm has all gone completely out of whack!" He told the Harpercop family.
Casper was right as the gang suddenly saw the ghostly auras of the Netherworld enter the party but everyone else thought they were just special effects until their bodies were taken over by the evil spirits. Except for the Harpercop family since they were protected by an invisible forcefield of Kali's crystal magic she had put over them in case of emergencies like these. And Albert couldn't get effected either since he was an all powerful time wizard apparently, and Casper was a ghost.
