I thought I would look up and go on about my day
I did, for a second, but my eyes decided to go astray
and fixate on your face
your masculine, majestic face
still to this day I have to thank my cool brain
for even being able to mutter the words that I said
although I questioned if you heard them, as you just stared
but I gladly took the invitation to do so as well
I stared at the slight crooked slope of your nose
the high points of your rounded cheeks
the shadows your lashes created while looking down at me
the eyes that I was sure enchanted my own
but still to this day I am taken by your smile
a week doesn't go by without reminding you
it was that unconscious tilt that won over my heart
ruining me for the rest of my life
