Bob woke up to sound of the door opening, the light coming from it blinding his beady eyes. Then for a split moment, Bob's life almost flashed in is head. Bob shook with fear,
the man came back for him.
Bob tried to hide himself in the corner of the cage, slowly trying not to make a sound. The man came by his cage and unlocked his cage. If Bob could cry, he would be crying buckets and buckets. The man reached in and tried to grab Bob, but he got a sudden burst of courage and Bob pecked at the man's fingers.
The man burst out with a loud "OW!" and pulled his hand out of the cage, sucking on his finger.
Bob took his chance and leaped out the cage, making a run for the still open door. The man started to yell and was running after him. Bob got scared and started to go in circles everywhere trying to get the man get and tired. The man never gave up though and was still chasing after Bob.
A couple minutes had passed and Bob and the man were still going at it. Bob was getting tired and desperately wanted to give up. But then Bob saw that the man was starting to gasp for breath. He fell to the ground heaving. Bob stopped and looked at the man confused on what he was doing. The man was still gasping for breath and started to make a choking noise. A figure showed up at the door, it was the women.
"Harold?" she said, "Whats going on?"
It was in that moment when she realized, Harold (Bob had figured out his name) was starting to choke on his breath. It was probably from running so much and so fast. This man was pretty overweight.
She rushed over to Harold while Bob ran under one of the tables holding cages. She started to ask him what was happening to him, ( like he was going to answer, he was choking!) Harold just replied with gasp of air.
The color on his face started to go back to normal, and he began to breath normally.
"What was going on in here Harold" his wife asked.
"It was that dang chicken, it was trying to get away from me!" he exclaimed.
"What?" she questioned," What chicken, there is no chicken in here Harold!"
Harold looked around, trying to find Bob. Bob scooted more under the table trying not to be seen.
"Harold, I've had enough of this, its obvious you've just been imagining this!"
She grabbed Harold by the arm and dragged him out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Bob once again was surrounded by darkness,
he tried desperately to find somewhere to escape but found nothing.
He waited for morning to come, then he would try and escape.
