She pointed the tip of the pen on the paper and closed the distance between them before stopping and creating a gap between them again. She repeated the same gestures for who knows how many times.

She retreated her pen and held her chin with her thumb and index finger and caressed it. She looked through her window right in front of her desk and felt the cool night air sweep in.

She stared at the stars - blank  for a good minute - before she again closed the distance between her wood-carved style ink pen and her ephemera that had a header decorated with swirls that surrounded the four petal clover. The boundaries of the ephemera had been outlined majestically with silver outlined roses that complimented the paper's yellow-ish hue.

She took a moment to study the paper in front of her before she places her shiny pen with starry shines and golden linings besides it.

She stretched and stood up, leaned forward and closed the windows before the chilly night wind could have its way with her.

She inhaled and exhaled on her pillow as she covered her body with silk sheets.

Just before she closed her eyes, she heard a voice barely above a whisper but she dismissed knowing it was her insecurities coming back to haunt her again. She sighed to herself, she just can't have a break.

The voice echoed again and she snapped at it before she drifted to sleep.
