"Fuck that."
Song: Piece by Piece Kelly Clarkson

Massie ran as fast as she could from the parking lot to her apartment complex. She unlocked the door locking it behind her and turned on all her lights shouting frantically for Molly.  The girl jumped when she opened her closer door, fresh tears lying on her cheeks. She gripped onto Massie so tight. As the woman rubbed her back soothing her. She changed her clothes and decided it would be best if Molly stayed with her. She was terrified. Her small figure trembled.

The two women laid in bed. Molly's head on Massie's chest as she stroked her head every so lightly. This always calmed the woman down. This went on for hours the two eventually falling asleep.

Morning came around and Massie woke to the sound of her phone buzzing next to her. She peered an eye open seeing that it was just Spencer checking up on her from last night. She felt bad she didn't get to say goodbye. But she also didn't want to explain why she didn't say goodbye; it was too much for her right now. She left his text on read closing her phone and staring at her ceiling deep into thought.

Molly ended up staying with her for the rest of the week. Before she had to go back to work the following Tuesday. It was officially seven days since Spencer texted her last and she kept reading the text over and over again. Figuring out different ways to reply then immediately erasing it. That night  as Massie was about to go to bed there was a knock at her door. She stared at her peephole before signing and muttering "fuck" over to herself. The person at her door was the reason Molly stayed with her for a week. The reason Massie has a taser and Molly locks her door.

Molly's brother Tate. He and Massie had a fling a while back before Tate turned crazy. following Massie to and from work, making sure she was never texting other guys. Massie called it quits after finding out he was very abusive to Molly and her mother when they were growing up. Tate used to be a drug addict. He would come home high asf and beat the shit out Molly for no reason and not remember a single thing in the morning. Molly did everything she could to get Tate the help he wanted and for a while he was better. Going to his sponsor everyday sending Molly weekly check ins and even sending the girl money from time to time.  He and Massie met when he stopped by one day unannounced at Molly's. Molly immediately decided they had to date. She wanted Massie to be her real life sister.

But then Tate started using again and becoming more aggressive and Molly couldn't bear to put her best friend through that. Massie ended the relationship quickly deleting everything that had to do with Tate from her life except Molly of course. Never speaking to Tate again. Of course he was at her door. She cursed knowing if she didn't open it he wouldn't stop. she grabbed a knife from the kitchen and held it behind her back, opening her front door.

There stood Tate, bags under his eyes. His hair matted, he had a five o'clock shadow. He reeks of alcohol and stale cigarettes.

"Where's Molly? Is she here" Tate babbles, scratching at his arm.
