"Warning smut ahead."

Spencer was overthinking everything lately, which was rare for the good doctor. He always seemed to have the answer to a lot of his problems. This time was different, he found himself falling in love with her, her being the beautiful woman in apartment E. He must admit their last encounter was tense, he made the mistake of not being able to be alone with the brunette.

Spencer, despite being a genius, was clueless when it came to women. Always stumbling over his words or babbling on and on about boring things. Little did he know that his constant babbling melted the flower shop owner's heart.

Massie didn't realize how tense things were getting. She found herself angry at the thought of Him. She wasn't mad at him, she was mad at herself. Why wouldn't she be? They have been talking for months and she hasn't kissed him. They barely held hands and not because she didn't want to.
Because the thought of holding his hand made a Gardner of butterflies erupt inside of her, her skin become hot and her heart pound. Love makes you do crazy things but in this case she wasn't doing anything crazy.

She was scared. What if Spencer didn't like her? What if he thought she was crazy? After all she did have enough phobias you could shake a stick at. Some of them were a bit crazier than others.

She was worried about the doctor liking her and accepting her, though to Spencer this wasn't an issue. He adored her already. She was his every thought, besides work of course, and the occasional trivia night.

And speaking of trivia night, she was already running late. The brunette found herself scrambling around the house to piece together the perfect outfit. She wasn't going to just show up in anything. This night was different from most. She had plans, goals. She intended on wowing him, hopefully so much that he would at least ask her to be his girlfriend.

The trivia night was being held at Tucker's bar and grill, a newer looking place with bright neon signs advertising the drink specials. It was getting dark when Massie pulled up outside, and Spencer was standing in front of the joint, hands in his pockets and a faint smile on his face. He waved her over as she got out of her car. For all the time Massie had spent getting ready and choosing an outfit, Spencer was wearing the same stuff he always wore to work.

"You know, you didn't have to wait outside," she said apologetically as she approached the doctor. He shrugged.

"Wanted you to know it was the right place. Besides, the weather is nice, and I was enjoying some fresh air, because in there..." he looked her straight in the eyes, "well, people take Tucker's Trivia Thursdays seriously, Massie. I hope you're ready for it."

Massie laughed, she couldn't help it. She hoped Spencer wouldn't be offended, but when she looked up he was grinning.

"I think I'm ready," she said with a smile. He nodded.
