The small 'revolution' they had been planning fell through very quickly. Dennis had put padlocks on all of the cupboards, put timings for the lounge up, removed all the artwork and stuffed animals, banned mobile phones and countless more things.

Most of the kids had retreated back to their rooms for lack of anything else to do, Ophelia would have gone and hung out with Liam, but Dennis had banned them from doing that at certain times too, which sucked. Mike tried to stop him but obviously had no choice, Dennis had threatened him, and Mike had to cave or else he wouldn't be able to keep his job.

On the first night under Dennis's rule, everyone was tense and cranky. Rules said that there was to be minimal chat at the dining room table and a no fun rule was also pasted in the kitchen. Even the food wasn't as good as normal. All of the kids were very sullen and miserable, not even some of Mike's faces (hidden from Dennis of course) could make any of them even crack a smile.

Tee and Carmen were on dishes that night so everyone else migrated into the lounge for the hour that it was open, Ophelia flopped down onto the sofa and turned the TV on. She had the sofa to herself for a good few minutes before Liam sat down onto the sofa behind her, Ophelia looked over at him before she leant back onto him and relaxed.

"Why are you watching this tat?" Liam complained as he reached for the controller in Ophelia's hand and switched the channel to something different. He put the controller on the arm rest and put his arm over Ophelia's stomach so that she was fully stable where she was relaxed between his legs.

Ophelia laughed, "I was actually quite enjoying that 'tat' thank you very much, O'Donovan."

"Oh, shut up Hamilton." Liam snarked back as he returned his attention fully to the TV show that he had turned on.

They sat and watched the TV show for around ten minutes before they were interrupted, Dennis marched into the room on one of his 'inspections' that seemed to be near constant. He scanned around the room and watched over the people playing pool first and then turned onto Ophelia and Liam.

He crossed his arms, "oi! You two! Apart!"

Liam turned around and stared Dennis in the face, it was a stare-off between them which Dennis won, so, Ophelia and Liam sat up and turned to face the TV with their backs on the sofa. Apparently, this wasn't enough for Dennis as he gestured towards the other sofa, Liam groaned and launched himself on to the other sofa. The two teenagers stared at each other in disbelief, that was a bit ridiculous.

"You gonna make a rule that we can't sit near each other now?" Liam snarked, clearly annoyed that his comfortable position with Ophelia had been messed with.

"If it gets you to behave damn right I will." Dennis replied with before he walked out of the lounge, he stopped for a moment and turned back to them, "fifteen more minutes in here before you all get out!"

As soon as they knew that Dennis was around the corner for good, they all relaxed. Ophelia got up out of her place on her sofa and walked back over to Liam's and put herself back in the same spot as before, "much better."

She felt Liam laugh behind her as he put his hand in the same place where it was before, the two of them resumed watching the TV, wilfully ignoring the looks that the others were sending them. "God Liam, this sucks."

"You just have no taste." Liam snarked as he held the remote out of Ophelia's reach, curse him and his long limbs, he is way too tall for Ophelia's liking and he uses it against her all of the time.

Ophelia made one last valiant reach for the remote, she tried to pull down his arm towards her, but he was too strong and practically lifted Ophelia off of the sofa slightly. She squealed as he then managed to get his arms to her sides and tickle her, she thrashed around in his hold as she laughed.
