CHAPTER 5

"When we exited the courthouse, some villagers came up to him and started beating him. One of them stabbed him."

"Are you okay?"

He nodded his head.

She waved her hand along his face and his entire body healed. "Next time this happens, you tell me before we leave the courthouse," she said, looking at the guards. "Now, you two go tell the queen what happened and I will take him back to his cell."

"But we have orders from Sebastian," the second guard said.

"I am the princess. And you have orders from me."

They let go of him and Noah just stood there with Natalie as the two guards started walking to the main part of the castle.

"Let's go," she ordered, taking his arm. They started down the stairs to the dungeons.

Oh my God! Noah, are you okay?

I'm fine. Just scared and upset.

It's going to be okay. Those two are going to be arrested under the charges of assault. Do you know who they were?

Jeremy's two brothers.

Thank you.

Thank you for helping.

Of course.

Are we there yet?

Just behind this door, she said, opening it.

I love you, Natalie.

I love you too Noah.

Hugs.

Hugs, she said, with a chuckle. She took him inside his cell and took the handcuffs off. Then she stepped out of the cell and put the bars down.

"Dinner will be served in a couple of hours," she said, before turning her back.

"Natalie? Thank you for healing me," he said.

"You're welcome," she said, not turning around. She started walking to the door.

"Shut up," she heard him said quietly.

"He said that?" Dream asked.

"Yes," Natalie said. "I have a feeling that Evil Noah is talking to him. And not nicely."

She sighed. "There's nothing that I can do. I can't tell you what the conversations are about because I don't remember them. My left dreaming eye is for the dream world. The eye controls what I remember and what I don't remember. My right dreaming eye is for looking into the past and future. That I have control over, but it has its limits. I'm sorry."

"Don't be. We just have to see what the future holds."

"Okay."

"Are you ready?" Natalie asked Annie.

"No. I don't want to do this to him."

"Hey! You are making the right decision. He might not see that, not right away, but he will eventually understand."

She nodded her head. "You're right."

"It'll be okay."

"Thank you."

"Good luck!" James said when she got to the bottom of the stairs.

"Thank you."

"I'll see you see you soon."
