The thief with the Hashirama cell almost tripped over a rock, quickly supported by the other two.
"Be more careful!"
"Yeah."
"If that thing gets out of control here then our mission is over! And at the rate we're going it'll take a while to get to the border. Wanna switch?"
They swapped the hashirama cell and kept going.
"As long as we're over the border, they can't get us."
"Yeah. This cell will benefit our nation!"
"We have to get it home safely at any cost!"
"For Yogura too."
"His sacrifice will not be in vain!"
Boruto and the others were catching up to them, slowly but surely.
The people up front, Mugino, and Omoi were talking about it.
"Whoever gets their hands on it..."
They all heard a creepy voice and halted.
"What about it?"
Omoi was the first to ask the same, dumb, question.
"Who's there?"
The cloaked man stood up in the tree, chuckling.
"I found youuu......"
He grinned, sending a chill down their spines.
Boruto stood in front of Sarada, forming shadow clones around her.
"It took a while to get solid info out of that goddamn village, but... you're the hidden leaf shinobi? Clever, using an underground escape."
The real Boruto stood forward.
"One after another... who are you?!"
The clones stood on guard, Mitsuki prepared as well. Sarada had her Sharingan activated, and the adults were all on edge.
He chuckled.
"Introductions are unnecessary."
He jumped up into the air and flung off his cloak, revealing a young man with purple hair. He had pink eyes and the roman numeral seven on his face.
"What the hell does that mean?"
"It means everyone who has seen my face until now... is dead. The same will go to you all."
Boruto laughed nervously.
"There's a first to everything..."
The man gritted his teeth.
"You think you can take us on? You underestimate hidden leaf shinobi!"
Mitsuki analyzed it.
"But if we all fight him..."
"Leave this to us!"
The hidden cloud shinobi stepped forward.
"Keep pursuing them."
They drew swords.
"So you know who has it..."
"We'll leave him to you, Omoi!"
"Thanks, Omoi."
The leaf shinobi left, and the cloud shinobi all leaped at him.
But he just smiled.
He dodged, throwing punches and forcing them back.
"I'm not going to let you get away this easily!"
