TODOROKI ABODE

"OH! NATSU! SHOULD WE TAKE THIS TOO? WHAT DO YOU THINK..?" Fuyumi asked her brother, smiling hopefully with a picture frame in her hand. Natsuo turned around slightly without full consideration and Fuyumi wasn't at all surprised with his answer.
"Yeah, sure." He said blankly before looking away.

She furrowed her brows and her smile dropped. All day, they've been planning to build an altarpiece for Enji just as they had for Touya. Fuyumi tried to get Natsuo more invested, continuously asking for his opinion on things but he always gave the same bland answer. Each time, she'd be silently hurt, that emotional pain slowly building up each time he spoke to her. Frankly, she grew tired of it.

"Can you?-..."
The boy turned to face her with a blank expression. "What?"
Natsuo waited for an answer he knew wouldn't come. Fuyumi gave him an annoyed look but no words came out. She was never really the type to snap.

"... Can you please care a little more about this? This is for dad." She said with a softer tone, but still strict.
"I think I know that." He answered calmly with a hint of annoyance willing to argue with her.
"Can you stop acting like you don't care?"
"Like I don't- How dare you?" Hissed Natsuo as he bluntly set down a packing box.

"How dare you? How could you be so stubborn- Look at where we are! Look at what we're doing!" She argued, looking around implying that they were in the basement full of Enji and Touya's belongings.
"Why do you think we are here, huh? None of this would have happened if Enji-"
"Enji? This is dad's fault?" Fuyumi fought back, "And you're not even addressing him as your own father?"

"He was never much of a father, was he."

The young woman stepped back at such unbending disdain from her brother. Fuyumi was never the kind to put up a fight, but if it took fighting to get the truth through his head, then so be it.
"He is our father and you can't change that." She trembled, raising her voice.
Natsuo wouldn't have it. He left upstairs out of the basement ignoring her, though he was surprised she was willing to fight with him over a familiar argument they've always had even before the tragedy. He ignored her, but this time, she wouldn't let it pass.
She made her way up and out of the basement just after him where their voices were more audible.
"He is a part of this family!"
