she likes me

My first period class is Math, then Language Arts, World Studies, Science, Tech, and lunch. After lunch I go to Writing class, then Health. That's my whole day. Pretty boring isn't it? At least there's only 2 days left.

The final bell of the day surprises me out of a day dream. I leave the Health classroom and walk down the hallway. I'm walking down the hall and I see a new poster. It says, "Have a great and safe summer." My head is turned and I'm walking straight, not paying attention. Still paying no attention at all, I walk right into no other than Kennedy. How smooth. "Oh sorry! I didn't see you there, Anthony" She says to me.

"Oh! It's okay. Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm okay. Thanks for asking. I think I have World Studies with you don't I?" She asks.

"Yes, we have that class together," I say awkwardly, almost too fast.

"Good class. Well, see ya around Anthony. Good to actually talk to you, you seem like a pretty cool kid," she says.

"You too. See ya around Kennedy," I respond back to her as she's walking away.

We just talked for the first time. Can you believe that!? She knew my name, she knew what class we had together and everything! I'm shaking in the hands badly, I can barely keep them still. I smile, and continue walking.

When I get home I walk straight to my room and change into shorts and an old T-Shirt. My dad is sitting in the living room and my mom is laying down next to him sleeping. He asks me his regular old questions, how was school, what'd I learned, and what I did. I told him that school was good and that my teacher yelled at me because I was drawing in my notebook. I didn't, however, mention anything about me and Kennedy. He already knows I like her and I don't feel like getting pestered by him for it. I give him a hug and go back into my room to do my homework.

Later that night while we all sit down, me, my mother and father, to eat dinner, there's a knock on the door. My dad gets up and opens the front door. There's a car in the drive way and a girl at the door. I don't have a clear sight on who it may be. I only come to acknowledge who it is when my dad turns around and calls me. It's Kennedy! My dad yells in a soft voice, "hey bud! There's someone here for you. She says she has something of yours. "

I get up and go to the door. I look at Kennedy's beautiful face and ask her, "hey! How are you? What are you doing here?"

"Hello Anthony, I'm good. I'm here because when we bumped into each other, you must've dropped your notebook. I came here to give it back to you," she pulls out my blue notebook and gives it to me.

"Oh my goodness! I didn't even notice. Thank you. I actually need this," I say and grab it from here.

"You're welcome. Just thought you would need it," she smiles as she puts her hands in her pocket, "you don't think it's weird I came to your house to give it to you instead of just handing it to you at at school tomorrow?"

"No, no, not at all. Thank you. That is really nice of you," I say to her smiling back.
