Rwby: Blade of Fire: Vol:1

Prologue

Its a rainy night in the city of vale, street lamps and stores light up the streets, a women is seen exiting a dust shop, waving back at the shopkeeper before walking down the streets of vale, she wore a black and red dress with a snow white cloak draped around her neck, we know her to be Summer rose, "What a beautiful night "she thought, Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a faint, high pitched sound coming from her left, Curious, she followed the sound into an alley finding a small blue blanket with something wrapped inside, further inspection reviled the source of the sound to be a baby.

Summer: Well what are you doing here little one?

The soft sound of summer's voice calmed the crying child and drew its attention to her, the kid obviously wasn't human as they were covered in red and blue scales with small blue horns on their head, the child's small hands dawned sharp claws and its back was covered it red, plate like scales and short deep blue spikes, but the most noticeable feature was the child's tail, it was long with indigo scales running along its full length, the tip of the tail was covered in a large crystal that formed into a blade about the size of a large kitchen knife, the blade itself was long rusted over.

Summer: well you can't stay here...so I guess you are coming with me.

She picked up the now sleeping child and made her way to her previous destination, that being the next bullhead to patch.

(Time skip)

Summer walked down the forested path to her home on patch, the child squirming in her arms every now and then as it slept prompting a smile from summer as she entered her home.

Summer: I'm back!

Tai: Welcome home.

Summer's husband Taiyang Xiao long greeted her with a hug and a kiss, he then noticed the blue ball in her arms.

Tai: Hey sum what's that?

Summer: Oh yeah, look.

Summer opened the blanket reveling the sleeping baby.

Tai: Umm...You do know you brought a baby home right?

Summer: Isn't she beautiful?

Tai: well yeah but...do you plan to keep her?

Summer: I did why? is there a problem?

Tai: NO! not at all I'm just not sure how yang will react to getting a little sister.

???: Little sister?

Both parents looked to the stairs to see a their young daughter yang rubbing her eyes as she had just woken up.

Summer: Yang dear we have someone we want you to meet.

Yang: (Yawns) Who?

The young girl walked up to her parents with a confused look.

Tai: Yang meet your new little sister umm...Summer what did you call her again?

Summer thought for a minute before coming up with a name.

Summer: Ash.. meet your new little sister Ash.

Summer knelt down to Yang's level and let her see Ash, Yang looked at Ash with a smile.

Yang: Hi little sis I promise to be the best big sister ever!

Ash looked at yang with a smile before reaching out to her.

Ash: Ya...Yang!

Everyone was speechless at Ash's sudden speech, her first word was her new sister's name.

Tai: Well... I guess its official, welcome to the family.
