All the first year students were gathered in front of steep cliffside overseeing the massive Emerald Forest where Professor Ozpin and his assistant Glynda were giving the students a rundown of the initiation test.
Ozpin: For years you have trained to become warriors. And today you're abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.
Glynda: Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams, well allow us to put an end to you're confusion. Each of you will be given teammates...Today.
As Glynda said this Ruby let out a reaction of slight concern.
Ozpin: These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well- That being said, the first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the next 4 years.
Ruby: WHAT?!
Ozpin: After you've partnered up make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way, do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die.
(A/T): Shit, I knew this would be hard but is he serious?
Ozpin: You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene, you will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics, each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff, we will regard that item as well as your standing and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?
Jaune: Yeah, um sir-
Ozpin: Good, now take your positions
Each student then took a combat position (except for Jaune who was trying to get out of being launched) then one by one each student was launched toward the forest until it was finally Ash's turn.
Ash: Alright Here we Go!
Ash was then catapulted into the sky keeping herself as stream lined as possible, she breezed through the air as she got closer to the forest, she closed her eyes as she activated her semblance igniting herself and giving her the resemblance of a meteor heading down toward the trees and a small group of Beowolves.
Ash: HERE COMES THE FIRESTORM!!
Ash crashed down directly on top of the Grimm in a spectacular explosion, disintegrating all Grimm around her in seconds, she stood up in a large crater surrounded by fire and desolate trees.
Ash: And THAT is how you make an entrance!, now gotta find somebody.
Ash began running through the forest looking for anyone to pair up with.
Ash: Yang! Ruby! Where are you!?
She ran until she found a clearing with a small ruin with several chess pieces, but on top of that Yang and Blake were already there, Ash ran up to then while calling out to Yang.
Ash: Sis!
Yang: Huh? Oh hey Ash! I'm guessing that explosion was you?
Ash: you know it.
Ash crossed her arms and put on a confident smile.
Ash: So these are the "Relics" Ozzy was talking about?
Yang: Some of them are missing, guess we weren't the first ones here.
Blake: Well... I guess we should pick one.
Yang: Hmmm...How about a cute little pony?!
Blake: sure
Ash: Guess I'll take this one.
