Ash and her new allies all fought to keep the Deathstalker busy while the others focused down the Nevermore, Lilian and Ash rushed toward their opponent and split off, Ash blocks the deathstalker's claws and holds it in place while Lilian Rushes from behind and attacks its hind legs, in response the Deathstalker swats Lilian away with its tail before striking at Ash forcing her to back off.
Lilian: Bastard's better then I thought.
Ash: Oliver take the Rear, keep it busy for us!
Oliver: Very well then!
Oliver fired at the deathstalker's head drawing its attention to him, his shots didn't seem to hurt it but it was enough to piss it off as it was now charging him.
Oliver: If you have a plan best to act upon it NOW!
Ash: Lilian! Take out its legs!
Lilian: On it!
Lilian rushed the deathstalker from behind and slashed its hind legs causing it to collapse, she did the same to its other legs rendering it completely immobile.
Ash: Reese gimme a boost!
Reese: Right!
Ash jumps onto Reese's Hammer and he then swings creating a small shockwave launching Ash high into the air right above the deathstalker that regained its balance and was now continuing its attack on the others, Ash's Semblance increased in intensity and as she gazed down at her target.
Ash: Lets see how you handle this!
Ash's mouth sparked with flame as she rapidly fell back toward the group, she loosed fireball after fireball upon the Grimm before readying her blades for one final strike.
Ash: You're Done!
Ash landed onto the deathstalker creating a massive crater while plunging her blades into its head, black smoke rose up from its corpse a is slowly began to disappear, Ash stood on top of its body and turned toward her partners who all looked at her with amazement.
Oliver: A stunning display of skill my dear Ash.
Reese: Yeah, Wasn't really sure you could stick that landing but you were pretty-
Lilian: THAT WAS TOTALLY WICKED!!
Unable to contain her own excitement Lilian cut Reese off, Ash giggled at her antics as she began to go off on an excited tangent with Oliver simply nodding in agreement while Reese attempted to calm her down to no avail.
Ash Looked up from her Team just in time to see her little sister cut off the Nevermore's head clean from its shoulders, Ash stared at her sister with a pride filled smile.
(A/T): Now THAT was wicked.
Timeskip, location Beacon
With initiation finally over, the professor's had called every first year student to the auditorium to announce the teams.
Ozpin: Russel Thrush, Cardin Winchester, Dove Bronzewing, Sky Lark, the four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces, from this day forward you will work together as team CRDL(Cardinal), led by...Cardin Winchester.
Team CRDL then left the stage and Ozpin began to announce the next team of students.
Ozpin: Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie, The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces, from this day forward you will work together as Team JNPR(Juniper), led by...Jaune Arc
Jaune: Huh?...L-led by?
Ozpin: Congratulations young man.
Jaune was still a little shaken up by being chosen as leader until Pyrrha playfully punched him in the shoulder accidentally nocking him over, she then helped him up as they left the stage for the next team.
Ozpin: Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao long, the four of you retrieved the white knight pieces, from this day forward you will work together as Team RWBY(Ruby),Led by...Ruby Rose.
Yang: I'm so proud of you!
Yang gave Ruby a bear hug while Weiss seemed shocked that Ruby was chosen as leader, Ruby however was a little worried about how her other sister would react to her advancement to team leader after her lackluster performance back in the forest, they soon left the stage for the final team announcement.
Ozpin: And finally Ash Rose, Reese Waldstein, Lilian Auburn, And Oliver Penwood, The four of you retrieved the black knight pieces, from this day forward you will work together as Team AROL(Aureolin) Led by...Ash Rose.
Lilian: Awesome!
Reese: Congrats Ash.
Oliver: A worthy title indeed.
Ash: Oh-ah thanks guys.
Ash wasn't used to all the praise, plus she was more focused on Ruby who was currently talking with her new team.
(A/T): Is she really ready for all this?, "Sigh" Regardless she definitely has the drive for this.
Reese: Hey Ash?
Ash: Huh?
Reese: C'mon you gonna stand on stage all day?
Lilian: C'mon scaly! Oliver's taking us out for victory ice-cream!
Ash: Ok ok!.....Wait Scaly?
As she began to follow her team she was stopped by the sound of a familiar voice.
Ruby: Umm...Ash?
Ash turned around to see her sister nervously staring at the floor and tapping her fingers together.
Ruby: Um Congrats on becoming a leader!.
Ash said nothing but didn't appear upset, she showed very little emotion while Ruby tried to find the courage to speak again.
Ruby: I-I um...."Sigh" Ash I'm sorry for acting so reckless back in the forest, it was dumb of me to try and fight a deathstalker head on and I almost got myself killed so...I'm sorry and I hope you can-
Ruby was suddenly pulled into a warm hug by Ash which she eagerly returned.
Ash: I'm so proud of you Ruby, and I'm even happier that your ok.
The two hugged each other tighter as the rest of Team RWBY approached them.
Ash: I love you little sis.
Ruby: I love you too.
Ash and Ruby ended their embrace and Ruby walked over to her team.
Ash: Well I gotta go my team is probably wondering where I am by now.
Yang: I guess we'll see you later then.
And with that Ash shot after her team, unknowingly to the girls though Ozpin was watching the whole interaction.
Ozpin: Looks like things are shaping up to be an...interesting year.
