Chapter 8

Sonia

I was dumbstruck when Officer Leon had said that there was no teenager who was present on that place. He isn't a ghost that he will disappear from the crowd. We were on the way to the house of that lady to confirm if there was  a boy or not. We were few minutes away from there.

"Why are you nervous Sonia?" I heard Garv's voice and I looked at him.

"I don't know why I am just feeling like that every puzzle is getting smaller as well as hard. What if this boy..." I couldn't even form the words.

"You don't worry. Whatever the result will be we will accept that if no one will believe you I will believe you." I looked at him and he just nodded. I smiled. He don't know that these mere words were enough to flatter my heart. We reached the place and I was so much impatient that I ran to her house and pressed the bell ring. After few seconds the same lady opened the door and she was shocked to see me.

"Has something happened? " I nodded. "But I have gave you all information."

"It is not about the lady but have you see the boy who had came and told me that the girl was hit by a car."

"Sorry officer but I had arrived late when you were investigating her bruises." It brought disappointed to me.

"Do you know anyone from the crowd?" I was hopeful about this.

"My friend must be knowing because she was saying that someone was there who lives next to her house but I didn't really paid attention." It was enough to keep me going.

"Please tell me where she lives." She nodded and told me her address. After that I went to the rest of officers.

"I hope that her friend could help us."

"But why are we chasing this boy." Officer Leon asked me.

"I don't know why but I am thinking that the boy knows something which no one had noticed." He just nodded. We sat in the car and then he again drove away to the given address I hope that this time I find some clue. We reached the destination and I found her friend and we asked her as well and she had arrived at the same time but she knew one of her neighbor who was present in the crowd and she told that she lives in next block and we went there and knocked on the door but I really can't recognize her.

"Was she in that crowd?" I asked Leon and he nodded.

"You may haven't noticed this but she was." I nodded even though I was having doubt.

"Yes?" She asked and I looked at her.

"You were in the crowd yesterday?" She nodded with confused expression. I smiled. "Have you seen the teenage boy who had told me about the accident?"

"Sorry Ms. but I haven't." This had dropped my faith.

"Thank you very much." I was about to go.

"But Ms. I did heard that Ms. Clinton son was present and he is also teenager. I guess he was the only teenager over there." This had helped me in rising my spirit.

"Thank you Thank you so much." I guess I am behaving like a kid.

"If you don't mind than please provide us with her address."

"They both live in that house which is at the end of the this street." She pointed and I nodded and come from there.

"If I saw that boy than I pretty much sure that I will recognize him." I said to Leon.

"The process is going good. But if he was there then why he had left."

"I don't have any idea but they are the only who could tell us what had happened and especially that teen boy."

"Yeah now everything depends if we find that boy or not." I nodded. We reached the house and I pressed the bell but no response. This is weird. I again pressed the bell but again no response. I didn't heard the footsteps.

"Maybe they are not at home?" Garv said and I looked at him and than looked at the house and nodded.

"Could be possible." I said

"We should leave now." Leon said and I didn't really had the heart to leave the place until I find if they really aren't at the home.

"Sonia we should leave." I heard Garv voice and I startled a bit and nodded and started to follow them and suddenly heard something breaking down from the house. I looked back. "What happened now?" I again heard his voice. I looked at him. I shook my head and started to go towards the car. Maybe it was my illusion.

But why I am feeling like that I am doing a mistake. I guess there is something fishy behind this brown door. I sat in the car and looked outside and was thinking about today and tomorrow. We arrived at the hotel.

"We will continue investigating this tomorrow." Leon said and Garv nodded and former sat in the car and drove away.

"What happened Sonia? You were like this whole ride." I looked at Garv for few minutes and blinked in the thought and debate whether I should tell him or not and I ended up deciding to tell him.

"When we were going back then I heard something as if something has been fallen to ground and scatter. I feel like that we are letting the house go like easy. Who knows what is going inside that house." He looked at me straight for one minute.

"I guess you are right. A teenager who told you how the girl died disappear all of the sudden. Tomorrow we will try to find the mystery behind the wall." I smiled when he said that. I am glad that he is believing me and is ready to do what I am saying. But will he believe me when I will say to him that I love him?
