Chapter 10: Harder Than I Thought

[Daehyun's P.o.V]

It's been some days since the last incident and to say the truth i kinda felt bad about it, maybe Himchan wasn't ready and the whole thing made him anxious. He wasn't his usual self lately, he was calm and he looked that something was bothering him, I put the blame on me on some point but that alone couldn't solve the things. I decide to go and have a talk with him, I softly knocked on his door before entering only to notice that he was about to open the door, "Jeez I almost hit you, are you okay?" and he just waved his hand as a sign that he was okay "I'm fine don't worry, what are you doing here?" he gave me a curious look "I was looking for you" I said without thinking. "Funny, I was looking for you too", "Really?" I said in a surprise and he smiled and nodded "Yeah. I studied your pose style and I wanted to ask you if you have free time to practice" Damn why I have to feel bad now?

"Of course I have free time. Well that's a surprise, I thought you were mad at me and you wouldn't even try" i rubbed the back of my neck and looked at him, "Kim Himchan is never going to give up" he winked "I just wanted to study that's it. I think I'm ready " I looked at him surprised "Thats great actually...Well lets go downstairs and begin, should we?"

A few moments again after Himchan changed his outfit, he showed me some of the poses he learned, we also tried to take some photos. "Well, I'm supriced. These come out pretty cool" I said showing some of the pictures I took with my cellphone "Looks like your hard work payed off" he smiled at my comment "Thanks, that means a lot. I practiced a lot with the mirror actually" he chuckled "You practiced with the mirror? You really worked hard don't you?" I gave him a soft smile "You tried your best only to be ready to take my place if we need too, so I can keep my job, that's mean a lot to me. Thank you and I'm sorry is I was strict at first" he shooked his head and smiled "It's okay I know how are you feeling, you felt pressured and reacted like that, I would probably do the same...so don't think about it" he winked.

This guy, he always makes me feel bad. Even if he had a childish behavioral when I first met him, as I get to know him he appears more mature and professionally in my eyes. "You know what? You deserved an extra special dinner, what do you think?" I saw him smile soon as I mentioned dinner but quickly his smile froze. "Is that okay with you? I mean you told me to go on diet" okay maybe I shouldn't have said that, he takes my words seriously "It's okay, once in a while ia no that bad" I chuckled "And I'm hungry anyway"

Moments later, after our food come we stayed at living room to eat and relax, even if he looked hungry he was eating slowly. "I was impressed today I can say. Do you always take seriously every project?" i took a sip from my Cola and looked at him. "Every project is a new challenge for me, I want to show the best of me every time" he said as he reached for the remote and switched on the TV and start to change channels until a car racing program come up but quickly he changed the channel again. "Why did you changed it? Go back, i want to see it" i said but he gave me a weird look "For real man?" he asked looking at me, "Yes, I have to study too you know" I chuckled and he went back to that channel, well it wasn't a race as I thought but a documentary about WTCC races, drivers and their lives. "WTCC? Don't you race in that category?" I asked curious as I took one more bite from my food "Yeah, I'm impressed that you know" he chuckled "I've done my research" I smirked "Were you part of the documentary?" I asked and before he was able to give me an answer, Himchan appeared on the screen, he was wearing his racing suit that was wrapped around his waist and a long selves white turtleneck, I have to admit it he looked hot in these.

"Speed? Well, speed for me is freedom, speed is an addiction that you should not let take over you or else you are dead. You have to be respectful to your team, your fellow races and your car. But every time i change gears, every time I am behind the wheel of my car, i get goosebumps"

He said on screen and I looked at him who shyly looked away chewing his food, "I didn't knew you looked that good on screen, I'm impressed. Don't tell me that all sudden you got shy" I smirked. "Aigo, no... No it's just weird to watch me on TV together" he took one more bite and looked again at the screen. Honestly I liked that side of him, the one next to me and the one on the screen, he was a hard working man with passion but in his free time he looked very relaxed. The documentary continued to focus on Himchan for the next minutes as it showed how he trained and how he got ready for the race, I thought they just got in the car and that was all but I was wrong, it took more, it took more energy and time to drive that car like profesional and I could see the pressure on the drivers eyes. Maybe I can understand why Himchan was so passionate about it and maybe I should try to work hard for him like he did for me so when we get out lives back he will be back on track without any problems, I have to work hard too.
