In the Arctic sea, Katara and Sokka are seen riding Appa through the ocean, following Zuko's warship. For a creature who was said to fly, it was doing the complete opposite of what he was asked.
Sokka: "Go. Fly. Sore"
Sokka says with no motivation in believing Apps could fly. Katara looks at her brother and then down at Appa.
Katara: "Please Appa, we need your help. Aang and Mark need your help"
She tries to encourage the bison.
Sokka: "Up. Acend. Elevate"
But Sokka wasn't helping his sister. As if he didn't care if they caught up to save their new friends.
Katara: "Sokka doesn't believe you can fly"
She says leaning down to the bisons ear.
Katara: "But I do, Appa. Come on don't you want to save Aang and Mark?"
She asks as Apps gives a small growl and lifts his head out of the water.
Sokka: " What was it that kid said? Yee-ha? Hup-hup? Wa-hoo?"
He asks, trying to think of the words Aang said. As if it was on the tip of his tongue.
Sokka: "Uh, yip-yip?"
And as if by magic. Appa began to growl, smashes his tail on the water as he speeded up and as if he was running on water, he jumps up and sores through the air. Katara cheers.
Katara: "You did it Sokka!"
She shouts back to her brother as he was up on his feet with a massive smile on his face.
Sokka: "He's flying! He's flying! Katara! He's-"
Katara looks at him with a smug look as his smile disappears.
Sokka: "I mean. Big deal, he's flying"
He says going back into his tough guy act as the three set off to find the ship and save their friends.
((Meanwhile, Zuko's Warship, Irohs chambers))
Mark brought a steaming cup.of Jasmine tea to his lips, tasting the sweetness as the warm liquid goes down his throat. He lets out a relived sigh.
Mark: "Ahhh. It's not everyday you find good quality Jasmine tea like this. The benefits of being frozen for 100 years"
He says as Iroh pours his cup of the Jasmine tea. They both were sat on mats in front of a small table, Iroh was on the opposite side of the table from Mark.
Iroh: "So, 100 years? It even surprises me of such a feat. How did you accomplish it?"
The older and wiser man asks politely as he takes a sip of his tea. Mark smiles and hums to himself.
Mark: "100 years is like sleeping for a whole day, it takes some time to remember. But if I would say it was a combined effort"
He says looking down at his tea.
Mark: "Aang may be the Avatar but he hasn't learnt Waterbending yet. So I had to use mine to combine his Airbending to give us a fighting chance, but how we survived for 100 years is a mystery to me"
He asks as Iroh hums and nods. Understanding the boys confusion.
Iroh: "It is a lot to take in. Even for the greatest Waterbenders it is a mystery"
He looks up at Mark with a smile.
Iroh: "Let's leave the present for now shall we. Let's talk about you"
