Chapter 3

 What Was That?

Everybody woke up to a weird rumbling like earthquake that lasted for few seconds. Lennard screamed "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!", so Xavier opened the door and said "Everything seems normal here", so Ludwig said "That gave me a damn heart attack" and fell back to his bed. Apollo sensed something bad about the rumble, but couldn't tell what it was. Lennard was still shaking in the corner and Ben was hugging his Father. Xavier said "Okay, let's continue the day", but Amanda asked angrily "What if it was something dangerous!?" and many yelled "Yeah!", so Xavier said "Whatever it was, nothing seems to be off", so everyone got up. Xavier said "We continue from yesterday!" and everybody started to work. Bowser was still sleeping, so Valentine asked "How the hell he didn't wake up?", so Ludwig said "Seems like he is hard to wake up", "Pretty impressive indeed". Then Andrew showed his son Omar, how to use a gun. Omar learnt pretty quickly. Ben saw this and asked his father "Dad, can you teach me too?", so Winston said "Son, you are way too young to use one", "Let's see when you are older". That made him upset, so he ran to the pod. 

Then after some work Izzy asked Rose "Wanna take a break?", so she nodded, so Izzy said "Maybe we could take a look at the woods", so Jack said "I will come too, but we can't leave too far away". As they left the camp they noticed the weird plants. Izzy said "I have never ever seen plants like these", "These are so weird", so Rose laughed and said "That one looks like a trumpet, so Izzy bursted into laughter and said "You are right!", "It kind of looks like it". Then Jack said "Woah!", "Look there!" and as they rose their heads they saw weird mushroom creatures walk in the forest. Izzy asked "What...", "What are those?". Rose looked scared and Jack asked "I think we should go". Luckily whatever they were, they left and seemed to be harmless. On the way to camp, they found more weird plants and discussed about the alien trees. Jack said "This tree looks weird!" and as he touched it, the skin of the wood moved weirdly and the branches came towards Jack, trying to possibly trap him, so he pushed himself away and said "Holy shit!", "That tree is alive and moving!", so Izzy said "We better get out of here" and Jack nodded. As they got to the camp, Jack came to Xavier and said "Umm, so we just found trees that were more alive than you would think", "It tried to trap me", so Xavier looked surprised and asked "What?", "Are you serious?", so Jack nodded.

Xavier said "jesus christ, this place is getting weirder more we learn", "We have to be really really careful", "I will tell everyone". After telling everyone about it, he said "Okay, like yesterday, we will go hunting, but be more careful". Ludwig came and said "I will come again" and Joey said "I better come, so I can help if someone gets hurt", so Xavier said "Good". Susan begged Andrew "Please dont leave me!", but he said "Susan, I know you are worried, but I must help them", "You need to understand". Omar decided to join to try his newly learnt skills, so Susan joined to keep look after him. As they left the forest Xavier said "Remember that any tree here could trap you, so be VERY careful!" and then they found an animals corpse. Ludwig said "What is that?!", so Joey got closer while blocking his nose and said "It seems to be somekind of huge mammal", "It looks like a huge Rhino", so Andrew said "Seriosly this is not good", "The animals we have seen, seem to be very big and dangerous", so Xavier nodded and Andrew said "This seems old, so we better not take this and eat it" and everyone agreed. Andrew said to Omar "Remember to be alert, so you might get your first kill today" and winked. 

Susan said to Andrew "Are you sure it's a good idea to give him a gun?", so he said "Honey, he is an adult", "I'm sure he can use it", so Susan still looked nervous and said to Omar "Remember to be careful with it", so he nodded. Then after half an hour of walking Xavier saw something in the forest, so he said "Wait, I can see something", so everyone stopped. Susan was anxious and repeated "What is it?", so Xavier said "I dont know" and as he got closer he said "It's a structure!", so Ludwig asked "What?", so he said "Look this is a man built thing". It was stairs leading to a small collapsed ruins, so Joey asked "How is this possible?". Xavier studied it more and said "I have no idea", "This is clearly a human built structure, but I dont know how..." and Ludwig said "Guys, come see this!" and as everybody came everyone was blown away. Xavier asked "How...how the hell is this possible!?". The view was a abandoned village that was in ruins. Joey said "This is a proof that there are or has been intelligent life here", "Another reason to be more alert". They walked around the ruins and Ludwig said "This is unreal!", Omar asked "I wonder if these creatures still live here", so Xavier said "Hope not...". Then there was this basement that was still intact, so Xavier said "I will check" and as he went down he yelled "Holy crap!", so Andrew asked "What did you find?", so he said "Come see!". As they walked down they saw bunch of food that was still eatable. Everybody was cheering and celebrating and Xavier said "This is really good!", so they filled Omar's backpack with bunch food and Xavier said "That should be enough for tonight", "We can come back".

At the same time Bowser and his friends Josh and Zayn talked about taking over, so they got guns and Bowser shot to the air and yelled "Attention!", which made everyone scared. Bowser said "You may have noticed that Xavier is telling us what to do, but from now on it's different!", "I will be in charge!", "If you dont accept then you will be banished!", so everyone looked shocked and few joined their side with pleasure, but the rest didn't know how to act. Ray yelled "Hey, you cant just do this!", "You don't know what you are doing!", so he said "I don't?" and said "Okay, you are out", "Leave now or I will shoot you!", so Ray said "What!?" and Valentine said "You cant!", "He won't survive alone!", but Bowser and his men didn't listen and escourted Ray out of the camp and didnt give him any supplies. Ray asked "Seriously, consider what you are doing!", but Boswer kicked him to the ground and said "You shouldn't have turned against me!" and laughed. Ray started to walk away from the camp. Lennard fell to his knee in front of Bowser and said "I will serve you!", "Just don't kill me!" and Winston said "I will too if you make sure my son Ben is safe", so Bowser smirked and said "Good!". Valentine told Jack and Izzy "I will go after him", "We can't just let him die there!" and she left the camp. In the forest after leaving the ruins, Xavier said "It's getting late!", "We have to find shelter", so Andrew said "The ruins and camp are both too far away", "We have to find a place", so Ludwig said "Yeah", "They still have some of yesterdays meat, so I'm sure they will be fine". Xavier said "Okay, lets walk towards camp and see if we find any shelter. After 10 minutes of walking, Omar said "Hey there is somekind of cave opening!", so they looked there and Xavier said "Let's check it out". They walked and noticed that it was a pretty big cave, so Andrew smiled and said "Good find, son!" and they went inside and saw a tunnel going deeper into the cave, but they decided to sleep near the opening. Xavier said "Okay, goodnight everybody", so everyone repeated. In the camp Yolanda went for a evening walk, because she couldn't get sleep. 

She saw somebody sitting on the corner of the edge. She got closer and saw that the person was crying. It was Apollo. She looked concerned and said "Apollo, what is wrong?", "What are you doing here", so Apollo cried and said "Just leave me alone!", "I wanna die!", "Just leave me!". Yolanda realized what he was planning to do, so she put her hand over his neck and said "Apollo, if something is wrong", "You can tell me", so he said "I just wanna disappear!", "I wanna jump off", "I deserve it". Yolanda let few tears out and said "Apollo, you don't have to do that", "I know what it is like", "I have wanted to kill myself, but after finding god, I found happiness", "Don't do it, you can talk to me", so Apollo said "I am a monster", "You dont wanna know", but he broke and started to cry, so Yolanda held him and said "It's Okay, It's good to open up", so he said "I...", "I had a daughter", "Her mother died of cancer and I began to drink heavily", "One morning, I took her to kindergarten and I was drunk", "I crashed the car and I survived, but she didn't", "I killed my baby girl". Yolanda was shocked and devastated and held him and she started to cry too. They kept talking about issues and Apollo agreed to come inside and before they went to sleep, Apollo said to Yolanda "Thank You", so Yolanda smiled and nodded. Jack and Izzy discussed. Izzy asked "Where the hell are Xavier and the guys?", so Jack said "I don't know, we must look for them tomorrow" and Izzy said "They will not like the new orders", so Jack nodded and said "We can't let Bowser control everything", so Izzy nodded and they went to sleep after wishing good nights.
