"The... Photographer?" You asked, giving Emma a confused look. She nodded quickly. You did recognize this hunter's blue and gold jacket, and his white hair. But what he did..? You had no clue. The hunter seemed to be dozing off in his chair, which, to your surprise, was rather amusing when he woke up again with a start. You gazed at Luca and Naib down the table. Luca seemed to be finished with whatever boxes he was tinkering with, and Naib had secured elbow-pad looking things onto his arms, while Emma grasped her toolbox. The three of them looked ready. At the moment, you had nothing, but the looks from two of the other survivors gave you hope that you'd win. Naib was not one of those two.

Your vision faded to black, just as you saw the Photographer stand up and walk over to the table. Then, you woke up in... Leo's Memory. Or at least that's what Emma told you when you met her at a large amalgamation of a typewriter on top of a crate.

"What is this thing?" You exclaimed, stepping up to it. A chill ran down your spine when you glanced around, seeing cameras scattered around the Christmasy setting.

"It's a Cipher." Emma replied, seeming focused. "You're meant to decode it, and once you've decided them all, that unlocks the exit gates. Naib is especially slow with it, while Luca is really fast." She went on as best as she could to explain her skills, alongside your teammates.

In the distance, as if on cue, you head a loud click. One of the cipher's lights turned on, so bright against the dark sky.

"That would be him." Emma sighed, wiping her brow. You helped her for a while longer, the tedious work making your hands sore. All of a sudden your heart began pounding through your chest, fear climbing in your throat. You barely had enough time to blink when a silver blade came down and hit Emma right in the head, knocking her down instantly. That blade belonged to The Photographer himself.

"Get out of here!" Emma yelled, holding her head in her hands, as the Photographer got ready for another swing. You turned and ran, as fast as your legs could carry you, your heartbeat slowly fading out. It wasn't long before you heard Naib shout "Don't move! I'm coming!" as he crossed the map, running to Emma, who was strapped to a rocket chair, while you lost your breath, collapsing in the cold snow. You laid there, your eyes closed as you tried steadying your breath against the cold winds howling at you. Before you could pull yourself up, someone else did for you.

"Whoa there, Y/N- we can't have you eliminated in the first round." A mischievous voice chimed, a blessing to your ears. You leaned on him slightly, giving a nod of appreciation.

"You're... Luca.. Balsa?" You said between pants, still exhausted from running halfway across the brightly colored map.

"So you did overhear that.." Luca grumbled, crossing one arm and twirling his hair with the other arm's hand. "To put it simply, yeah." He grinned.

"Weren't you.. sentenced to death?" You looked up at him. "For murder?"

He opened his mouth to object, but then he simply nodded. "Yeah." Guilt laced his voice.. he seemed sad. "The worst thing is I can't even remember if I truly did it." He smiled, but it was clear you hit a nerve... it made you feel bad.

"I.. I'm sorry." You looked away, focusing on a present underneath the nearest tree.

"Sure, sure." Luca shrugged, looking around. "Let's just get this match over with." Luca started running, and you followed, wondering how to make it up to him. Then you came up with a plan.

"Hey, Luca!" You called, making him stop in his tracks. "What if we had a little bit of fun with the hunter?"

"You mean make Joshort Desmallnier angry?" He laughed. "Anytime, hon. What's the plan?"

You were taken by surprise by the pet name coming out of absolutely nowhere, a small blush sneaking its way into your face. Luca chuckled- it seemed more adorable now, the way his eyes sparked up. Without a moment to waste, you told him the plan, then set off to find the hunter...

(LUCA POV:)

'That Y/N...' He thought, his heart slowly starting to beat dangerously. "Hasn't even been here a week, and they're already causing chaos.' He got into position, decoding at a cipher, connecting it to the last farthest decoded cipher. His heart started beating faster and faster, until he popped it, staring right into the eyes of Joseph Desaulnier, the Photographer.

"You're pathetic." He said, right before shocking the man with a cracked face and running off, as fast as humanly possible (for him, anyways), with both middle fingers flying high in the wind. "Fuck you, Baguette Bitch!"

His plan worked. Joseph shook his head, recovering from the shock, enraged. In the distance, the last cipher clicked, and the sirens wailed, signifying that the exit gates were unlock-able. However Desaulnier seemed to be very focused on him, and that meant it was all coming together.

(Y/N's POV:)

You were standing by a pallet, in a maze of tall walls, near where Emma and Naib were unlocking the exit gate near most of the Christmas trees. You heard Luca shout your code word, which just happened to be "Breadsticks", as he raced bast you. You threw down the pallet, stunning the hunter chasing Luca, and the Prisoner grabbed your wrist, dragging you towards the slowly opening exit gate. You watched the Photographer roar in anger, breaking the pallet, his eyes a terrifying glowing red.

"What were you dumbasses doing?!" Naib growled, pushing you and Luca through the gate's safezone, just as the Photographer swung his sword. As you ran down the path, you slowed to a point where you were walking, and could effortlessly answer the mercenary.

"We were.. messing with the hunter for fun." You laughed, smiling. The taller prisoner beside you let go of your wrist, which you didn't realize he hadn't let go of until now.

"He's already rubbing off on you isn't he?" Emma rolled her eyes in disapproval, but it seemed she also was enjoying that you had found someone to have fun with.

"Next time, try not to pull that shit." Naib murmured loudly, crossing his arms with an annoyed look on his face. It took you by surprise, because you could've sworn you heard concern in his comment.

"Fine, no promises though." Luca replied, on your behalf, shuffling along towards the dark outline of the manor against the rising bright sky. "Right, hon?"

You looked up at Luca, a wide grin plastered to your face.

"Precisely."
